Located 10 miles west of Port Angeles on the scenic Highway 112. This is a small working farm with geese, chickens, Flynn the farm dog. Backed by a forest of cedar tree and a creek running through it, there is plenty of privacy for campers on the 10 acres. Within a few minutes you can visit Salt Creek Recreation Area and Lake Crescent. This is a perfect midway point for exploring the western end of the peninsula. This is my fourth year operating a hipcamp, but I have operated vacation rentals and bed and breakfasts for years and love the hospitality business.

Spigot, tap, hose. There is a spigot near the bathhouse.

Grill over firepit, bbq, communal. Bring your own propane or charcoal. There is a charcoal smoker and a couple propane grills . There are a couple fire pits at sites on the property, as well as a couple portable ones All amenities are first come/served.

Picnic table present

Gazebo with table and chairs. Additional large open shed with table and four chairs. Several other tables and chairs available that can be placed at your campsite (first come, first served).

Available near house and in gazebo.

No showers

Bathe in river or stream. I am experimenting with sun shower bags this season. There is a shower tent and sun shower bag available on a first come, first served basis.

Beautiful spot, great location close to hiking trails and Olympic NP, quiet and private sites, clean bathroom. My dog had a blast running around with farm dog Flynn. Janelle is an incredibly kind and welcoming host, I’d reccomend this spot to anyone

Sweet Hipcamp Away From the Crowds.

Janelle’s farm is her pride and joy! The campsites are private and pretty. Water and toilets are appreciated too. We felt safe in our pop up camper. There’s a little road noise during the day but quiet at night. Janelle gave us directions to places of our interest. We enjoyed breakfast down the road at The Blackberry Cafe in Joyce.

We had a great stay at High Hopes! Our spot was on the creekside and we had plenty of space to move about and yet still feel like we had privacy. We explored the creek, used the open yard/meadow area for bocce ball, and appreciated the flush toilet in the well-appointed outhouse. We also loved that it was 6 miles to Salt Creek Recreation area. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our second time visiting High Hopes. Janelle is a great host, but we really come back cause our pup has a crush on farm dog Flynn! All and all a good location and relaxed vibes!
