Come check out where the buffalo roam in West Virginia! Riffle Farms was the first commercial bison operation in the wild and wonderful state. We are committed to humane treatment of our animals, being good stewards of the land, and we can’t wait to be your next host!

Imagine drinking your morning coffee or sipping your evening brew while watching bison graze and play. We have convenient RV sites plus private tent sites that each have fire pits, picnic tables, and all the FREE fire wood you can use!
Check out our Farm Store for all of your bison meat needs; grab some steaks and bring them back to your site for a cowboy meal—or let us do the cooking and pre-order a bison burger, hotdog, or bratwurst for dinner because we now have a commercial kitchen on site!!
Check out panoramic views of Preston County walking The Farm, or plan an off farm outing paddling the Cheat River or hiking the Allegheny Trail.
**Only vehicles with AWD or 4WD will be able to make it up our gravel driveway to the top of our mountain**
Seeing buffalo was the highlight!
Directions were clear to farm. The driveway/road is steep, but well maintained. I did shift into 4wd going both up and down.
The site was clean and had a fire ring and hammock, there was firewood close by.
I was in an out of the site in order to attend an event, so I did not get to take advantage of the farm store.
Overall, recommended!
It was very nice. Very welcoming and helpful. Took my son and I to see the bison, and also for a ride around the mountain. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. My son had a blast!
we loved staying at riffle farms! being so close to bison was an experience hard to find elsewhere. the hosts were super friendly/helpful and made the stay extra great! their farm dogs were an added bonus too! would definitely stay again
The Riffle farm is a great experience in an even better location. The sites are spread out well, looking out over the bison herd. Located at the top of a hill, this camp site offers incredible views of the stars given the low light pollution in the area. The Cheat River 12 minutes down the road offers great paddling and fishing (we caught a couple browns). Stop by the farm store and pick up a few hanger steaks to cook on the well maintained fire-ring and grill. Our 24-foot camper fit easily and the site could’ve handled another ten feet on that camper with ease. We had a blast. I’ll be back for sure.
