    We have 178 acres of beautiful land hidden in the hills of Tarome in the Scenic Rim community. An amazing view of the national park and Cunninghams Gap. There is a hidden creek at the back of the property that never runs dry, running from Gap Creek Falls at the top of Cunninghams Gap. The location is perfect for a quick getaway or long stay, complete privacy and little reception depending on your phone service, ensuring a peaceful camping stay. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. Our campsites are hidden in the hills, down by the creek or out in the open. You will need a 4 WD to access the rear of the property. There is a steep incline at the beginning of the track followed by a tight corner because of this caravans must be off road and under 17 ft. Make sure your car has the power and weight to get it up the hill. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Please be aware of the weight you are towing and your car is capable of pulling it up the hill. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite. We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Good Firewood for camp ovens etc is available for purchase under Extras. Pre order your wood. For this one off price we will supply you for wood for your whole stay. There is sometimes wood located at each campsite but the amount and quality is varied. Check in and out times are flexibility but please arrange time prior to arrival

Whether your on the hill with 360-degree views looking over the campfire while watching the sunset or in the paddock, amongst the trees, you will have space to relax We have 40 sheep on the property, and often lots of lambs which can be seen at any time. We also have 10 antique tractors, and other old farm equipment, which add to the eclectic farm charm. We also have lots of residential wildlife, including kangaroos and plenty of birdlife, such as kookaburras, cockatoos, galahs, finches, Wrens, Willy wagtails, parrots and more. All guests need to be self-sufficient, with their own toilet, shower and power There are toilets at the park in Wyreema 3k Local shop just up the road for basic essentials and fuel, plus there are great pub meals nearby at the Bull n Barley(sorry no dogs) - 8 minutes drive away. If you are looking to bring your bicycles or horses to ride the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, we are 1.7km from the entry point. We have two yards with shelters if you are bringing horses. Valoros Arabians is 1.7km from the centre of town, which has a small grocery store, a service station/takeaway shop, a pharmacy and pub; where you can get a delicious meal and if you come at the right time; a live band! This is a working farm with horses, free-range chooks and other animals. Please ensure your dogs are contained if they’ve not been introduced to other animals. Our property is part of the Highfields Pioneer Village* complex located just 20 minutes from Toowoomba. This campsite is a wonderful place to rest whilst taking in the scenic surroundings of the village which is the home of the Big Cow.  Visit the Toowoomba Fire Brigade Museum which houses an historic collection of memorabilia, documenting the story of the people who have worked every day to keep us safe from fires since 1877. The collection includes Uniforms, Badges & patches, historical records & photographs and over 6 Historic Fire Engine Vehicles, Apparatus, Models & Collectibles. Visit the iconic Ambulance Museum that tells the story of Ambulance services in Queensland. We are within easy reach of Highland Falls which has some great walking tracks and view points of the falls. Pets are also permitted in this bushland area but must be on a leash. We are just 3 mins from local shops, McDonald's, KFC. This is the perfect spot for those who want to wind down and escape the hustle and bustle. We have amenities available and pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times. Sorry, no campfires. Tarome offers some of the best views of the Main Range and Cunninghams Gap, all of which you can enjoy from the site. The sunsets here are spectacular. The Warrill Creek runs through the property, adjacent to the campsite and is home to an abundance of wildlife and vegetation all of which you are welcome to explore. The creek runs seasonally and makes a beautiful swimming area, but is just as enjoyable when dry allowing for a great path to explore the area. The site is only a short drive off the main road so the property offers an ideal spot for short stopovers, or alternatively use it as a base to explore the rest of the Scenic Rim. The abundance of walking, hiking, fishing or biking opportunities in the area are endless, or if you are more into relaxing into some food tasting and wineries then you’ve hit the jackpot. Just an hour and a half from Brisbane CBD! In lieu of camping with nature there are no amenities and limited service with some providers, but if you are chasing something in particular please let us know. We are happy to help. Somerset Dam is 40minutes away and you are able to use your own motorised equipment there. PLEASE if booking individually but you intend to join a larger group please message me on hipcamp after you have booked telling me the names of people you would like to camp with so I can allocate a space large enough to fit you all. Also please note we have 24 sites only, however some of these sites can easily fit 40 people therefore on Hipcamp it can show lots of availability when in fact that may not be the case. We are more expensive per person than other camp sites. Please note this includes hipcamp fees and charges and you are covered by hipcamp insurance. We don’t charge for pets, nor do we charge to use our 6 onsite canoes, nor do we charge extra for hot showers or rubbish removal, we haveguest wifi. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues.. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. Please note if you’re wanting a function the price is $5500 which gives you sole use of the property up to 70 campers for 2 nights. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. We can also take you horse riding around the farm for a couple of hours or to the local winery if you prefer longer ride. We cater for all levels of riding. We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to any one with the swag, tent, camper, caravan or motorhome. You need to be self sufficient. For those liking the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV. Linen is not supplied. If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View rd., do not go that way, go through Dayboro rd. Our licenced cafe onsite is open from 7am and serves delicious coffee, breakfasts, lunches, cold beer and on Friday nights - fish n chips! Got a group? We can make dinner for you with notice. Want a cold beer while the kids play in the kids space? We have it here for you. 3. Your camping area creek side is for tent camping only. The sites are a metre from the tree lined creek edged with giant granite boulders and water running most of the year. Cross the sandy creek bed by 4wd to unpack your tent and set up. Your car can be parked safely next to it. 4. Have a pop top? Then we have spaces in a more public space next to a narrow creek spot depending on your size. 5. What else? We have a shower n toilet located a short walk from your site via torch light or bring your own portable toilet. Town water is available as well. 6. Tennis court available to play on or for the kids to run on. Just book a time with us when you are here. We charge $20 an hour. 7. Each spot has a fire area for you. Just bring your own wood or collect from the bush. People use our property as a base for a few days to explore the surroundings areas - Mt Glorious walks, Mt Nebo hikes, Dayboro visit etc etc. Please note that we are next to a road and as such, you will have some road noise so as much as the location is highly convenient if you want absolute silence, this is not the place for you im sorry. We are 10km north of the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude. From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast and sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest. There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop. It is very quiet and peaceful, yet only a 10-minute drive to Crows Nest. Things to do - Send some golf balls into space -The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions. Swimming in the water holes is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks -Brisbane river is up the road (10mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

One part of the gravel driveway is steep, so a vehicle with some clearance is advised. ***All campers need to be self sufficient with toilet and shower. It's 25 acres of koala protected bush. Camping is on cleared, grassy flats, this is basic bush camping suited to fully self sufficient campers. Our block is completely off grid, there is no power or water. Listen to the birds, including the beautiful whip birds Look for koalas and other wildlife: quails, ducks, birds, kangaroos, deer (our property is koala protected bush. Wildlife must not be disturbed). Under a minute drive to local creek and swimming hole. A few minutes drive to Wivenhoe dam recreation area. 15-minute drive to Fernvale for supplies (and one of the famous pies from the bakery). 20 minute drive to Somerset Dam for all your water sport fun. Stop at a swimming hole or lookout on your way up to scenic Mt Glorious. We are About a 15 minute drive from Northbrook Gorge, a popular local hike.
