Best all-around: Finalist
Named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2024.
We are a family owned/operated ranch, located along the Cosumnes River, one of the last un-dammed rivers in California.
As one of the last rivers flowing from the west slope of the Sierra without a major dam, the Cosumnes is a vital example of a healthy watershed.
Our goal is to offer a unique outdoor experience for anyone looking for a place to spend time in the great outdoors.
Whether you're looking for a single campsite, or a place for a larger gathering, we're excited to have you visit!
Take your pick of activities available on site: swimming , gold panning, fishing, camp fires, wildlife watching, floating, hiking, and mountain biking to name a few. There are 3 miles of river to explore.
*Please note: We don't allow wood campfires during the summer months (generally the last week of May through September)*
This campsite is a beloved destination for both seasoned campers and families alike. Visitors consistently praise the stunning views, the clean and well-maintained facilities, and the easy access to the river, which is perfect for swimming and fishing. The hosts, Rachael and Tom, are frequently commended for their friendliness and attentiveness, ensuring guests have a smooth experience. However, some reviews mention the lack of cell reception and water amenities as drawbacks, particularly for solo campers.
Very nice place. It was totally worth the stay. Me and my dogs love the site , it points straight to the river. Tom was very friendly and warm welcome. Will definitely come back here again.
My girlfriend and I decided to visit Valentines weekend and had a great time. It was raining one of the days but that didn’t stop us from having a fun weekend getaway. The property is beautiful and very well laid out. Rachael and Scott are both very friendly and polite. We would recommend this campsite to anyone including families. We will absolutely be back.
One of the best camping spots we’ve ever been to! It wasn’t busy when we went but each campsite has a decent amount of privacy. The owner so kind and informative! He even set up our fishing pole and educated us on the river and the lands history. Will definitely be returning! New favorite spot!
