Discover the most magical spots to pitch your tent or park your rig on your next Pardee Reservoir Recreation Area adventure.
Discover Pardee Reservoir, a haven for anglers and campers alike.
Nestled in the picturesque Sierra Nevada Mountain Range to the east of Stockton, Pardee Reservoir is best known for its fast-paced fishing. While direct human-to-water contact isn't allowed in this large source of our drinking water, the fish residing in the lake can still be safely plucked from the water into your boat. While most anglers on the water are looking for trout it is common to find, salmon, bass, and several species of catfish. For the impatient angler, the crappie, bluegill, and sunfish will practically jump into your boat as you search for the giants resting in the depths of Pardee Reservoir.
The best time to visit Pardee Reservoir Recreation Area is from mid-February to early September, when the park is open and fully operational. Avoid planning trips outside this window, as the park closes for the season and to protect migratory birds.
