Huntersville State Forest is a pretty fantastic alternative to the popular Itasca State Park, so be sure to head this way to seek out some serenity in the woods.

This primitive campground makes for a pretty rad base camp for further explorations of the area, and if you love the implications of the word “rustic,” you’ll be totally down to camp here. The campground is right on the Shell River, with easy breezy access to the Crow Wing River Water Trail. If paddling sounds like a pain, then consider going for a swim, fishing, or participating in some hardcore lounging. It’s a tough sport, but we have faith in your relaxation game, especially when the environment is so conducive to kicking back.

Wise Woods on Fool Lake

Located at the end of a private road on Fool Lake with wooded mature trees that offer privacy. The lake is quiet and calm. Fool Lake is a private, environmental lake, with many varieties of fish. Perfect for kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, and swimming. Boating is allowed up to 40 hp via gated private launch (no tubing or skiing). The land slopes to the lake where you will find small dock and a few stairs into the water. Well for water and electricity available including a 30 amp hookup for RV campers. Large outhouse also has electricity. Minutes away from access to Cuyuna trails, Crosby, and Emily, as well as nearby Nisswa and Crosslake. This central location offers access to any and all amenities. After a day on the trails, in town, or on the water, an evening at the fire pit overlooking the lake is a perfect way to end the day. Wind down, relax and enjoy the trees, lake and nature surrounding you. We expect all guests to respect the neighborhood, lake and nature! **November to early spring the water access will be winterized and NOT available for use. Any winter camping is at your own digression and snow removal will only be provided on the neighborhood road(s) up to the entrance of the site. The main trail on my land goes thru the majority of the county land and loops back connecting to my main trail again.

Complete with a stove and insulation, this will extend the camping season and allow bookings all year! We are also installing electric for your glamping convenience. This site is adjacent to the public lake access and features a large dome with a queen size bed and two cots for an easy and comfortable trip. The dome comfortably accommodates 2-3 adults, or a family with up to four children. Enjoy fishing and boating on Hay Lake off your private dock. Canoe and two kayaks available for your use on the site. There are some lifejackets available for your use, but feel free to bring your own fishing and boating gear.

Welcome to the north woods! Camper available 150 meters from a large public beach, two fishing piers, and a boat access onto Long Lake! Very close to a nice little restaurant. You'll have access to paddle boards and kayaks and assorted water toys for your stay. The camper is a no frills 37 foot '97 Dutchmen Royal that has been updated, it features a queen bed and a full size futon. Sleeps 4. There is cold water and air conditioning, simple pots and pans for cooking and a fire pit with outdoor furniture. It's a pretty nice spot!

Beautiful 8 acre campground on Lake Placid 10 miles west of Brainerd MN. The Campground has 4 full RV hook ups with power, water and sewer. 1 RV site with power and water. The water comes from a low flow well that has been tested and is potable. It is great to fill your RV tanks. There is also several level areas for tents. There are 2 fire rings for camp fires a propane and charcoal grill. The campground has a dock to access the lake and Crow Wing river. There is approximately 25 steps down the bank to the dock. The steps are newer but steep, If you choose to use them you do so at your own risk.

The 80-acre property is carved out of a Norway pine plantation. Sites are approximately 10,000 square ft. in size with about 50 ft. of trees between each site for semi-privacy. We have tried to maintain a balance of nature while making the sites as RV friendly as possible. Although the property is located in the country, it is located along a state highway for easy access and there are three towns and many amenities and recreational venues within 15 minutes drive.
