Description

Mosca Campground boasts incredible views of the San Luis Lake, Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range and the Great Sand Dunes. So if you're working on your photographer game, bring your DSLR for some uber gram-worthy photos. Surprisingly, there actually isn’t any water in the San Luis Lake, but it’s beautiful nonetheless. And there are plenty of biking and hiking trails to keep you busy all day long. Like we said earlier, there are a boat load of photo opportunities, so share your best shots with us!

This campground is OK but camping is also available at Zapata Falls Recreation Area (BLM land). We’d recommend Zapata Falls BLM land - a more secluded area - over the Mosca Campground in San Luis State Park. Obviously be sure to visit Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve!
