Camp ikigai Animal Sanctuary 501c3

Camp ikigai is a 72 acre farm/ranch stay near Sequoia-Kings (SEKI) Canyon Nat'l Parks. Rescued/EOL horses, sheep, chickens, and ducks freely roam the property. The property has a communal clubhouse with a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, firepit, hot/cold showers, compost and pit toilets, and an above ground swimming pool. Our business is committed to inclusivity and respect for people from all backgrounds and a safe space for solo female and LQBTQIA+ travelers. 30 minutes from park entrance, 20 min from nearby lakes, 50 minutes from Fresno. 3 hrs from SF, 3.5 from LA. We have running hot/cold water for our outdoor shower but NO flushable toilets. We have pit and compost toilets filled with cedar shavings for now! Our priorities: 1. Wildfire prevention 2. Community building 3. Environmentalism and Sustainability If you're coming July-Mid August please know it is HOT (95 average/75 night) and wildfires are a consistent threat. With that, wildfire prevention is a high priority. We have a lot of projects we have started and could use all the help we can get! Some of those are: - invasive species management - tiny home building - gardening/greenhouse building - event space building - vertical agriculture - chicken farming (underway and we have a lot of eggs to eat and share!) - raising livestock - medicinal plant growing + onsite apothecary - bus conversion site - tool and machinery share/rental Come book a cabin, park a bus, bring a tent, bring your cat/dog! We know the world is dark right now and we are just trying to bring a little light.

Dreamy Wild Horse Ranch Cabin

15 sites · Lodging, Tents25 acres · Lake Hughes, CA
Our family passion is endurance horse riding- for people which do not know what this means; it is a marathon race on a horse. For this kind of extreme sport, a already very fit and athletic horse needs to be prepared for riding in a rugged terrain at a faster pace to complete the race healthy and sound. Also the rider needs to be fit. I purchased this special location so i can condition my horses to perform at a best out there, in a tough and rugged race world of endurance. The left alone wilderness in the foothills and mountains housing some excellent training grounds, to get ready for some challenging races in the Western United States! This property location offers simply the much needed training challenges in all together, without ever to haul out, to train horses and riders for the confrontation of an terrain obstacle away from the ranch. In fact we have other riders coming in to train on the ranch! Our rides which we are offering are not dude ranch rides, or which would be to us boring cowboy rides, we trekking mostly in English style saddles, since riding is to us an athletic sport on an fit, muscle packed athlete. So the real equestrian enthusiast will not only find a grand ride in a fascinating Wild West nature, but also encounters a learning opportunity about equestrians. For our guests which are not into the world of equestrians, but still love the beautiful world of horses and want to meet a variety of breeds, we are offering happily a guided tour of the ranch, and inviting you to feed our drafts some carrots. Fascinating for many of our guests are our American Mustang horses. We even have some wild ones right here at the ranch. Additionally we love ATVing; our surrounding off road terrain trail spoil our guests with panoramic scenery, while driving with sometimes challenges. For this adventure we have some few trail heads which takes off right here from our ranch. Another important drawing card for us is the epic, world famous Pacific Crest Trail-which runs right in our backyard.  If you looking to unwind in a peaceful, remote, wilderness world, for some hours off the day, or the whole day and need to head back to a cozy and comfy staying accommodation for the night, this ranch is a great approach to begin this journey! For people which interested in geological science, we can offer a walk through the San Andreas Fault line, which runs right across the ranch.

The Mesa has views for miles

1 site · Lodging25 acres · Lower Lake, CA
Sandia was the original owner and mother medicine woman of the land who passed away in 1998 ♾💜 so as homage to her we call it Sandia Ranch. The Mesa portion of Sandra Ranch was used by the elders of Harbin to set people on there vision quest in the old days. After sitting with grandma out on the cliff a while ago talking about how this place needs to be shared once again.... so it was decided to open it up to you all in honor of the great spirit and of the tribe! ♾❤️Learn more about this land:Come pitch your tent or bring an RV. Your camp site is at the end of the road and very private. The main house is pretty much out of sight but close enough if you need anything. The views of the mountains, Jerusalem Valley and soda creek are amazing and endless!! Our ranch is nudest friendly and Harbin hot Springs is 20 minute drive from the Mesa. Your campsite has a cast iron tub for soaking day or night and an on demand hot water heater power shower when solar is not available. Water is piped to camp however we are an absolutely NO camp fire camp until further notice. Thank you for understanding ♾🙏 This is a ranch with many animals including four sweet but dirty dogs, a pony, goat, 4 ducks, 3 turkeys and a few chickens running around.... Although they all hang out by the main house for the most part you might be visited by the free rangers...especially if you dish out any petting be prepared to give some more 😂 If animals aren’t your thing just tell them to go home they understand that! Because of the high amount of animals here that are free range dogs are not allowed at this time sorry..... anyone under 18 must be under parental supervision at ALL times. The cliffs here are very dangerous and must be respected by all ages with a safe distance back of five to ten feet from the edge at all times. Thank you for considering us on your next Lake County Adventure ♾🙏♾❤️♾✨♾☀️😎
