We agree, there's nothing better than a rest in a hammock following a hike or a beach day and a night under the stars without the constant dinging of cell and internet! It’s well worth the visit even in the winter! Really appreciated being outdoors surrounded by Redwoods, hiking the trails around the property, the modern bathrooms with hot showers, and the indoor sitting area to make coffee in the mornings. Yoga is offered daily at 9:30 am and there is a 3/4-mile trail that leads through a forest of bishop pines to an ocean viewing deck. A short walk away, there is kayaks and outrigger-style redwood canoe rentals for paddling on the Big River Estuary, where you might spot harbor seals or otters! Mendocino Grove also offers a bocce ball court, corn hole, games, books, and relaxation hammocks.
