You can open camp here and be completely off-grid or you can park near our barn and have access to electricity and wifi. We also offer Glamping Overnights in Gypsy, an adorable tiny camper with a double bed, sofa, 2 burner cooktop and everything you need to have a comfortable stay while still having a camping experience! Glamping stays are still largely off-grid with a "Luggable Loo" and an outdoor Joolca shower (upon request). Our large 5m Bell Tent offers plenty of room whether you just want to stretch out or if you're traveling with family or friends. We are not only off grid, but also nestled in a large natural caldera (meaning a volcano that has collapsed on itself) and are right next to national forest. This means that we can experience all 4 seasons in a single day - having extreme winds and rain in one moment, and clear summer skies the next! We invite you to not only be prepared for this, but to lean into the experience as this unique high alpine environment can be one of the most inspiring and epic places on earth. We are currently fixing up what is already on the property for an eco-experiential retreat as well as a space for like minded artists to take refuge and create magic on the land. We currently have our workshop and studio space up and running as well as the first of several livable structures completed - an 100 year old rehabbed miners cabin using Hempcrete and other natural materials, complete with a communal outdoor kitchen. We also have begun hosting our first artist/maker residents who are using the shop space and land to bring their own creations to life. Over time, we have dreams of permaculture farming, eco building workshops, community collaboration, and the ability to host gatherings – however, we are committed to taking it all one step at a time and allowing only what is meant to be to unfold. Welcome to our charming 2-acre farm nestled in East Boulder with a view of Long’s Peak. Just minutes from town - near walking trails, a bike park, shopping, and restaurants. A great pitstop on your way to or from the mountains. We have a 4 meter Glamping tent complete with a queen sized bed and rocking chairs, as well as spots in the meadow for RVs and camping tents. We limit the meadow to 4 small groups so there always remains plenty of open space for everyone. Our goal is to offer you a peaceful and affordable place to rest. The most affordable in all of Boulder! We have a community fire ring, big stacks of free burn wood and kitchen tables. We have well water to offer up by the house, but I wouldn’t drink it without purification… makes for a great cold outdoor shower. We have a HoneyBucket (toilet) tucked away in the bushes. It is pumped weekly and cleaned daily. We have fresh eggs! The chickens free range during the day, so please keep an eye on your dogs… leash if necessary. Our gals won’t run away. THE GOOD: *Easy in and out location *Most affordable rates in all of Boulder. *Beautiful view of the Longs Peak. *Lots of sun *Summertime creek on the property. *Fresh eggs!!! *Tintypes! *Community campfire with free firewood THE BAD: *Daytime road noise (pretend ocean waves??). *Limited shade. *Maximum stay of 5 nights. *Total RV length 40 feet - Truck AND Trailer - due to a steep and winding entrance and exit. . We can handle RVs up to 40 feet in TOTAL LENGTH - truck and trailer. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep ramp to get in and out. One fella with a light truck but heavy trailer got stuck and needed a tow. If you are a nervous driver, perhaps choose another place to rest your head. If you are a confident driver with towing experience, you can probably even go bigger. No designated spots. Please feel free to park anywhere you’d like while leaving enough room for other campers. It is flattest along the fence by the pond - leveling boards are stacked up in the field to borrow. Please note there is no access to the pond itself. It’s our neighbor’s property. We've got Tintype Portraits! I am a Wet Plate Photographer specializing in 1800’s antique metal portraits made of silver. Half off a one night stay is included in the price of every portrait. Check out: TheTintypeCompany.com if you get the chance. We are indeed the cheapest Hipcamp in Boulder, and our goal is to remain as affordable as we possible can. Alternatively, there is a $22 place up near Loveland, a $36 farm in Longmont, and a van-only spot in Evergreen for $33… The local homeless shelter is also an option if you are car camping. No joke, it is wonderful. More like an hostel than a homeless shelter. And they have facilities!! Folks do it all the time if the shelter has the space that night. Showers, WiFi, even food. It’s right next to the Police station, so fairly safe. The streets aren’t level, but neither is our field! Great for vans, not so great for larger RVs or trailers. 2.5 miles from Red Rocks Amphitheater nestled in the Colorado foothills . We are conveniently located at the trail head at Mathews Winters Park, across the road you can also hike or bike dinosaur ridge. Close to city things, but in the country. Close to activities like hiking , breweries, biking, golf , lakes, restaurants, drag strip, motorcycle track and more. We have 2 yurts, each with queen beds. Drinking water is provided. We have a natural water solar shower, a Porto-potty and a fire pit. We do not have cleaning charges as these are to be self sufficient . Please pick up and dispose of your trash to prevent additional cleaning charges. These Yurts are very popular for folks going to concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheater and need an inexpensive place for a day or two. You can Uber, Lyft or hike to the amphitheater and some folks will hike back, but be aware its in the dark on the way back. Ride shares will pick up by our gate and they have lot to pick you up and and bring you back. Lots of guest come without cars. NOTE: Leave it tidy for the next guest. If you need clean linens , we have sheet and 2 towels packages for $40.00us. Or bring your own. We are close to I-70, and that great access comes with some noise, we do supply ear plugs or you can bring your own headsets, some folks don't even notice it. We are a new family farm 10 minutes from Lyons, Colorado, on 15 acres of rolling natural grasslands with red sandstone cliffs and stunning views of Long's Peak and the surrounding mountains and foothills along the Little Thompson River. We raise pigs, sheep, goats, donkeys, chicken, turkeys, ducks and geese, and grow delicious organic vegetables. We provide farm food as well as cooked meals (farm-to-table) with advance notice), a fire pit, BBQ, an archery range, trails on the property, access to the river and a swimming hole to cool off in. We have a dog kennel if you would like to explore nearby Rocky Mountain National Park and need a safe place for your canine companion. Close to activities like hiking , breweries, biking, golf , lakes, restaurants, drag strip, motorcycle track and more. We have 2 yurts, each with queen beds. Drinking water is provided. We have a natural water solar shower, a Porto-potty and a fire pit. We do not have cleaning charges as these are to be self sufficient . Please pick up and dispose of your trash to prevent additional cleaning charges. These Yurts are very popular for folks going to concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheater and need an inexpensive place for a day or two. You can Uber, Lyft or hike to the amphitheater and some folks will hike back, but be aware its in the dark on the way back. Ride shares will pick up by our gate and they have lot to pick you up and and bring you back. Lots of guest come without cars. NOTE: Leave it tidy for the next guest. If you need clean linens , we have sheet and 2 towels packages for $40.00us. Or bring your own. We are close to I-70, and that great access comes with some noise, we do supply ear plugs or you can bring your own headsets, some folks don't even notice it.
