Cypress Landing RV Park

70 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents10 acres · Dozier, AL
Cypress Landing RV Park is a family-oriented, locally-owned RV park that sits on the shores of beautiful Gantt Lake in South Alabama. The lake is approximately 2,700 acres in size with 21 miles of shoreline. Water sports enthusiasts will enjoy skiing, swimming, jet-skiing, and boating on its waters, while fishermen will appreciate catching shell crackers, bream, and bass. During the winter, duck hunters can experience incredible hunts on the lake. The park opened in April 2015 with 63 camp sites, 2 cabins, and a general store. The boat docks were completely redone in the fall of 2015. During that time, the boat ramp was also completed. Tent sites were added in the spring of 2016. We are planning on adding waterfront RV sites in the future. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our friendly staff. Our on-site manager will provide you with a high-quality outdoor experience. Camp Coastal - 1/2 Mile From Beach!

1 site · Lodging4 acres · Santa Rosa Beach, FL
The large parcel of land that encompasses 30A's Camp Coastal was acquired over a decade ago and used as the family beach camp. Recently, the owner's decided to nestle a cottage onto the front 4 acres of the property to allow guests the opportunity to experience the best of both worlds - The Forest and the Beach! 30A's Camp Coastal was created to be a magical and unique getaway destination for guests to truly experience the scenic beauty of Point Washington State Forest that envelopes 30A, while being just a short walk from the Gulf of Mexico. Camp Coastal allows you the opportunity to step back in time and enjoy the Old Florida of days gone by, enjoy nature surrounded by wildlife - yet just a short bike path away from Dining, Shopping and Beach memories waiting to be made. Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch while the deer feed throughout the woods. Grill out on the deck while watching the game on the outdoor Smart TV. Enjoy a meal with the family - dinning outside. Or how about cocktails and laugh filled conversations in the evenings, sitting by the firepit and viewing the stars overhead. HOWEVER, don't forget your swimsuit too! There's a 1/2 mile paved bike path from Camp Coastal to the Ed Walline public beach access! There's also Gulf Place across the street from the beach with it's numerous restaurants, shopping and activities. Also to note if vacationing with children or teens - appx. 1/2 mile just north of Camp Coastal along 393 is Helen McCall Park. A wonderful playground with a splash pad for the younger kids and a great skatepark with a bowl for the older ones. If you're looking to make lifetime memories with your family, here's your chance to escape the cramped condos - enjoy nature, the beach and the Old Florida lifestyle!

Cabins near Crestview guide

Overview

Crestview is a Florida Panhandle city with access to rivers, forests, and Gulf Coast beaches. The area’s rolling hills and deciduous trees are a major change of scenery from central and South Florida, especially during fall foliage. It’s close to the Blackwater River State Park and the longleaf pine forests of Alabama’s Conecuh National Forest, as well as about 40 minutes from Fort Walton Beach and the Emerald Coast section of the Gulf of Mexico, where numerous parks offer beachside camping on white-sand shores. Set on I-10 and known as Hub City for the convergence of highways here, Crestview is a convenient pass-through town, but the camping options in its surrounding area make it a worthy stop in itself.

Where to go

Crestview Surrounds

The Yellow and Shoal rivers both border Crestview, with their confluence just south of town. The nearby Yellow River Water Management Area has boat launches for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing access. Crestview—and DeFuniak Springs, further east—both have multiple RV parks and RV resorts with full hookups and wifi for campers to choose from.

Blackwater River State Park

At Blackwater River State Park, you can paddle or float down the lush Blackwater River at a leisurely pace, enjoying its many sand beaches. Kayak, canoe, and tube rentals are available on-site. There’s also a campground with RV and tent sites featuring picnic tables, fire rings, and full hookups.

Ponce De Leon Springs State Park

Although not open for camping, you can swim or snorkel year-round in crystal-clear 68°F spring water at Ponce De Leon Springs State Park, just 45 minutes east of Crestview.

Gulf Shore Beaches

The Emerald Coast section of the Gulf of Mexico is due south of Crestview. Henderson Beach State Park, Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, and Grayton Beach State Park are all excellent beach parks with campgrounds in this area. For day trips, the Gulf Islands National Seashore’s Santa Rosa Area, including the Opal Beach Complex, is also an excellent choice.

When to go

Crestview has great fall, winter, and spring camping. Winters tend to be the busiest camping season, when camping reservations should be made early. With high temps, high humidity, and high precipitation—not to mention hurricane season on the Gulf Coast—summer tent camping is a challenge in Crestview.
