This place is out there…which we loved! Yip camp was a great escape for us, and close to Volcanoes NP, which we visited both days while at Yip Camp. Outdoor (concealed) shower and toilet are clean and close to the parking spot. We ended up with a larger than expected campervan rental (18’ Ram Promaster). We fit, but only just. Thomas and Yip were great hosts. Enjoyed our conversations! Would recommend, especially if you are looking for some solitude!

Amazing little spot!! So cozy, feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere but so convenient for visiting the volcano. Sounds of nature, camping with frills, and the perfect spot to come back to after an adventure. And obsessed with Yip, the host dog!!

We had a great time staying here! Blaze welcomed us and showed us where to park. The area is beautiful and quiet. The kids loved playing with the dogs. The shower and bathroom setup was the best we have seen for a hipcamp. When driving to the site, make sure GPS routes you through the shorter side of the "Beach" Road in front of the property (coming from the Waiakahi'ula Beach Park side), otherwise it's a longer drive, more potholes, etc.

On the road we didn’t expect to see that large beautiful place. Nice shower and restroom. The host was very kind and invite us to take the fruits on the land. Directions were clear and communication too! The view on the ocean is amazing. We saw the sunrise sited on chairs by the coast. Lovely place, it worth the stop.

I don’t think I could recommend Moon Garden Farms and Mae enough. Truly a surreal experience and we could not have thanked Mae enough. When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendliest dog, Nubs! Mae has such a great set up for camping, enjoying the sunshine and cleaning up afterwards. There are quite a lot of nature sounds, but we found them to be comforting. We also had a little oops and got ourselves stuck and Mae came to our rescue and helped us get unstuck. Truly a magical time and we will be recommended Moon Garden Farm to everyone. Thank you Mae!!!!!!

Tour the island during the day and come back to a spacious, private courtyard campsite where you can experience the beauty and sounds of our forest sanctuary.

Incredible amounts of love has been poured into this land and there's an infinite amount more to come. We are located within a 20-25 minute drive from Volcanoes National Park. Two of the best restaurants on the island (Wyatt's Place and Da Beans Greens Cafe) are located within a 12 minute drive, and the Mountain View post office and water spigots are located within a 8 minute drive. This is an ideal site for car campers and vanlifers. You are welcome to bring your own tent and pitch it anywhere on the open grass area as well. We have an outdoor kitchen with a 2 burner stove, fridge, copper drinking water container, and a 250 gallon water tank for washing dishes. We have a professionally built outhouse style Humanure Composting toilet. We are less than 200 feet from the paved road so any vehicle will be able to drive straight onto the land.
