Ross Homestead Camp

1 site · RV1 acre · Victor, ID
This land has been owned by my family since 1935, and owned by "shirt-tail" relatives before that.  The old house you'll be parked in front of is not habitable anymore, and there is no trespassing into this home or the home's original yard....but, you'll love to be near the big trees my grandmother planted, and the site itself is lovely!.  My family worked really hard to make the surrounding land into farmland.  The hillside right in front of the home is a haven for deer and other wildlife.  If you are quiet and look out at dawn and dusk, there are often deer roaming around.  Learn more about this land:Hi. Ross Meadow RV

1 site · RV4 acres · Victor, ID
The Shoshone and Nez Perce Native American tribes spent their summers in this area hunting and fishing the many streams in this valley.   Trapper's used the area until the U.S. market collapse of the beaver skin top-hat in the late 1830's.  Mormon pioneers began settling here in the 1890's.  My great-grandparents settled in Teton Valley after moving from Nebraska in 1917.  They farmed this land; growing potatoes, barley and hay.  Today we raise alfalfa/grass hay that we feed to our horses.  In the bottom of our field south of the campsite is Trail Creek, which is the headwaters of the Teton River.  It flows out of the southern Teton mountain range in Wyoming and into Idaho.  This water eventually joins the mighty Snake River near Rexburg, Idaho as it continues it's journey to the pacific ocean.  Summer's here are usually warm sunny days with cool, chilly nights.  Our location sits at an elevation of 6,300' above sea level.Learn more about this land:Located 1 mile from Victor, Idaho along the Old Jackson Highway. Nice view of the southern Teton Range. Situated on the edge of a hayfield. Close proximity to many outdoor activities.
