Happy Hollow Homestead

We now have 3 buildings for rent. The Cozy Camping Cottage, the Camping Cabin and the newest addition is our A-frame which is the most secluded spot on the land. - Voted best Hipcamp in Indiana to visit for 6 years. - Listed on Rachael Ray Magazine's "8 of America's Coolest Campgrounds" We offer a "Camping Cabin", The "Cozy Camping Cottage" or tent camping in Black Walnut Grove, in an open field, in the woods, or a shady grove. We like to interact with people or you can keep to yourself and have a quiet getaway in the woods. Sorry, but the tree house isn't available to rent since it is my home. I may rent it out in the future. Also in progress is the "Dome" We are on a solar powered, off the grid 30 acre homestead that has 24 acres of wooded land and 6 acres of groomed land. Come explore our land and relax in the "Tree Web", see the 2 story tree house that I live in, have fun on the tire swing, or just sit and enjoy all that nature has to offer. You can explore our interesting topography that has close to 100 foot of elevation changes, our (mostly) dry creek system that starts with 2 springs that drain into 3 sinkholes or walk 3 miles of trails (if you follow each trail from end to end). We love groups - Host your event here or have a group gathering with all your friends and family. We have spaces large enough to host hundreds of people. We welcome pets for camping, but no pets allow in the Camping Cabin. Also be aware that we have 2 friendly dogs on the land that roam freely. - 3.5 miles to Marengo Cave - 7 miles to the Blue River (canoes, rafting and swimming) - 30 minutes to Patoka Lake - 37 miles west of Louisville - 13 miles north of Interstate 64

Heritage Farm Stay Adventure

22 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents130 acres · Flora, IN
Enjoy a stay at Heritage Farm and experience all the exhilaration that an Indiana farm has to offer. Heritage Farm is a working alpaca farm with over 50 alpacas you can watch and interact with. Also residing on the farm are a flock of chickens, several goats and a horse. The newest addition to the farm is a pain of small breed Kune Kune pigs! If you want to, you can help with the daily chores of feeding the animals and collecting eggs. After that, you can explore the big red barn that was selected as one of the top-ten Bicentennial barns in the state. Roam around the 120 acre homestead, woods and creek and soak in the sights, sounds and smells of the farm. Be sure to visit our farm store before you leave where you can shop for alpaca products such as sweaters, hats, mittens and scarves. Pick up some honey made from bees on our farm or some farm fresh eggs from our flock of pastured chickens! Heritage Farm has several options for overnight lodging. One of the most popular places to stay is in our authentic 1850's log cabin. And it's certainly special to us as well. The cabin represents a valued part of our heritage. It reminds us every day of our agricultural roots, solid values and the importance of faith and family. Our Philosophy You want to have a wonderful stay at Heritage Farm and we want that for you too. This is your retreat for however long you are staying and we hope you'll be relaxed, comfortable and happy. Our Faith Our Christian faith is important to us. We have been so richly blessed with this farm and sharing it with others is what God has called us to do. We strive to show God's love to our guests by exceeding their needs and expectations and by inviting them to enjoy his beautiful creation. We abide by what it says in the Bible in 1 Peter 4:9-10: "Cheerfully share your home with those who need a place to stay. God has given each of us a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another." Valuing Our Past, Building for the Future Our mission at Heritage Farm is to apply that same pioneer spirit and value system to our alpaca business and Farm Stay enterprise. We are dedicated to working hard to provide the best of care to our herd and our overnight guests. I imagine the original occupants of the cabin would have done nothing less. Sleek Acres

6 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents6 acres · Grovertown, IN
Sleek Acres is a total of 13 acres, which includes our homestead, our chicken yard and barn, a fishing pond, and over 6 secluded acres to the back of the property where guests can explore. There are hungry catfish and bass in the pond who are always happy to be fed. Fishing is allowed, but catch and release only (under 12"), please! Mr. and Mrs. Quackers live on the pond and will happily greet you as you walk to the beach. Relax on the beach in the morning as you enjoy your coffee and watch the fish and turtles swim in the pond. Our chickens are happy to take care of any food leftovers you don't want! You can walk right up to the fence and they will greet you. We have an area for a community campfire or bring your tripod and cook over the open fire. Some firewood is provided, and additional firewood is available for purchase. A charcoal grill is available for cooking use also. You may see deer, fox, groundhogs, and many beautiful birds in the camping area. We are still in the development phase, but walking trails will be added this fall. We have built a bathhouse so that tent campers will have access to a toilet and shower. A wash station is located outside the bathhouse. Located central to many destinations, we are 5 minutes from All-Sports Koontz Lake; 10 minutes from Plymouth, plenty of shopping and home of the Blueberry Festival; 10 minutes from Walkerton, home of the Falloween Fest; 25 minutes from Valparaiso; and 50 minutes from Notre Dame. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place to camp, yet close to many attractions, Sleek Acres is the place to be! :) (Please note: Check in and check out times will be based on central time.)

Big Stones Ranch

1 site · Lodging95 acres · Delphi, IN
Our Creekside Cabin is located on the Wildcat Creek about 15 minutes from Lafayette and 10 minutes to either Delphi or Rossville. This cabin was originally built on our farm as an alternative to camping on the ground in a tent. While we don’t consider this to be “glamping,” it is certainly a step above “primitive.” Cabin features:  12’x12’ of living space  4’x12’ covered porch  Limited supply of off-grid electricity  Kitchen counter with running cold water (Mar-Oct only)  Toilet (Mar-Oct only)  Mr. Buddy propane heater (use at your own risk)  Window fan  A fold-down style futon  Two “bunks” Site features:  Gorgeous view of and access to the Wildcat Creek  Fire pit  Camp chairs  Hammock  Porch-style swing overlooking the creek Property features:  Access to wading, fishing, tubing, kayaking or canoeing on the Wildcat Creek  Fishing pond stocked with bass and bluegill  Nearly 100 acres and three miles of trails for walking, hiking, and exploring Ask about pricing for the following:  Kayaks  Float tubes  Fishing equipment  Firewood Our goal is to provide a relaxing and peaceful getaway for those that enjoy all that nature has to offer in Indiana with a few creature comforts beyond primitive tent camping. Loud music, drunkenness, rowdiness, firearms, motor vehicles, disruptive children, and anything else that would be a distraction to other guests or neighbors will not be permitted. *Note that the Wildcat is a public waterway and subject to state licensing and requirements.

Overview

The Hoosier State offers a wide range of landscapes, from sand dunes and beaches to forests and farmland. Explore the rugged sand dunes of Lake Michigan at both Indiana Dunes National Park and Indiana Dunes State Park, or check out canyons and look for waterfalls at McCormick's Creek State Park and Clifty Falls State Park. Play along the river at Harmonie and Tippecanoe River state parks, or out on the lake at Whitewater, Shakamak, and Chain O'Lakes state parks. Learn about Abraham Lincoln’s early days at Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial and Lincoln State Park. For a change of pace, explore culture in Fort Wayne, or enjoy thrilling speeds at the Indy 500 in Indianapolis. Mild temperatures make it easy to enjoy the outdoors year-round. Several state parks and the Hoosier National Forest offer rustic to fairly modern cabins, while private glamping cabins, cottages, yurts, and tipis offer deluxe amenities like air conditioning, fireplaces, and wifi.

Glamping in Indiana: What is glamping?

In Indiana, glamping is a type of outdoor stay combining camping's nature setting with the luxury and convenience of comforts like beds, warm showers, or electricity. When glamping in Indiana, there's no need to bring your own tent—instead, glampers may stay the night in a cabin, a vintage Airstream, a canvas bell tent, a yurt, or even a treehouse.
