Farm to Folklore is an inclusive getaway and activity farm where families and friends are welcome to rest and explore. Rent the farmstays filled with mystery and wonder. An eclectic expression of the rural Midwest mixed with just right touch of the fantastical. Our family farm is 40 acres of beautiful fields, woods with trails and creeks, and even a small pond with an island. An adventure awaits while walking through the fields, gardens, pond, and forest trails. Bonfire areas throughout the property. Visit with the ponies, ducks, chickens, and farm cats. Experiences available for everyone.

Visit the Wild Grape Escape and try not to get entangled in the beauty. It is located at Farm to Folklore in an old growth oak forest.
Stay in an open air structure/wagon. This structure is an original hand built design based on a vintage hay wagon. It is inspired by wild grape vine that grows all throughout the property. Enjoy the forest and fields in its purist form.
Provided is a queen bed for relaxation and rest. An additional daybed creates another bed for kids and friends. Cafe table and chairs within the structure create a place to eat your breakfast, read a book, write, or simply to just admire Lost Star Thicket. An eco friendly compost toilet is available to guests.
The kitchenet near the bonfire includes a 1930s propane stove, table with dishes, cast iron pans, cutlery, and cups. Please note no electricity or water provided at the campsite.
In the evening you can warm up with a cozy bonfire and tell those treasured stories. We encourage you to explore the property, say hi to us and check out our experiences.
On the farm we also offer activities like wreath making, horse grooming/ horseback riding, and even guided nature walks!!
This is a family farm so of course we the hosts, and our family live on the property. We also have another short term rental on the property. Please note our neighrbors house are located through the woods, about 1/2 acre from the site.
