Every year in the spring there are 4-6 Thoroughbred foals born that eventually will become racehorses. They live on the farm until they are 2 years old and then they go off to begin their racing career. In the daytime, when you are not sitting around your campfire, you can walk the fence lines and visit with the Mares and Foals or just watch them frolic in the fields. Hint! "They love peppermints, carrots and apples." Who knows, you might get to meet a future Kentucky Derby winner. Nearby attractions include: BLACK HILLS REGIONAL PARK (15 minutes) for boating, hiking or biking Vineyard 61 (5 minutes) Stone Silo Brewery (5 Minutes) Leechwood Haunted Forest (5 Minutes) October weekends only There are also chickens and peacocks that are very anxious to receive your love and affection with any type of treat such as raisins. Garrett County has so much to offer, waterfalls, lakes, hiking, skiing, Amish gifts, history, fresh air, beautiful scenery. The campground was first started in 1964 by my grandparents, we are currently completing renovations in phases.

You will not be disappointed. My wife and I as well as our adult children RV camp. Our amenities will be expanding

Despite its small size, Maryland packs a lot in, justifying its nickname of “America in Miniature.” From wild horses and Atlantic ocean views at Assateague State Park to the Chesapeake Bay, from waterfalls at Gunpowder Falls State Park and Patapsco Valley State Park, to lakes at Tuckahoe State Park and Deep Creek Lake State Park, to sweeping views from the mountains at Gambrill State Park and South Mountains State Park, there's no shortage of stunning scenery. It's no surprise that campers often want to share their adventure in the Old Line State while on the road, and that's where wifi-equipped campsites come in. Although some state parks, including Janes Island State Park and Pocomoke River State Park, offer wifi in certain areas, you won't find any public campgrounds in Maryland with wifi. Wifi is instead available at some private campgrounds and campsites, which may also offer additional amenities like full hookups, swimming pools, hot tubs, playgrounds, and laundry facilities.
