Weekend Trip to Pheasant's Hideaway

What stood out to me was the kindness of the owners. They bent way over backwards in trying to help us navigate the intricacies of using our RV for the first time. I even called Robert up for more help later in the evening. There is a huge green yard with tall trees surrounding it. It’s almost out of town so it’s very quiet except for an occasional rooster crowing, or maybe that was the namesake- a pheasant. Fresh eggs are available also, and it was a pleasure meeting the whole family. I would stay there again.

This spot worked perfect for us for a quick overnight in Helena. Julie was SUPER responsive and came down to greet us and give us some tips about the area. It was early season for Montana and she even made sure the porta potty was delivered just in time for us. We woke up to the sounds of roosters, birds and cows. It was very quaint and peaceful.

4 nights at Tikkun Homestead

We had a very nice and peaceful stay at the homestead. Our site was near the goats, which made for enjoyable viewing as they played. There was one neighboring RV site with enough distance between for privacy. Would definitely recommend staying!

Weekend Trip to Bitterroot Panorama

We thought the place was an amazing setup. Being able to pull through with are 30 ft. Camper was a breeze since James has it set up like a round about. He was a great host and very accommodating. His place has beautiful mountain views and even though his house is within sight it still felt secluded. If you're wondering if you should pick up some add one's I would highly recommend it because it was extremely delicious!!

Chris is a beauty and awesome host! So grateful to have a spot to boondock for an evening making our way to big sky! Would definitely recommend anyone in the area to come stay at his place.

Hard to say what was more impressive, the views or the hospitality. It was the little things, like super clear directions, well-groomed site, the little lanterns. Easily the best HipCamp experience I’ve had yet. I will certainly be back.

You'll be camped in a wide open grass pasture JUST OFF Hwy 287, 1.5 miles from Ennis Lake and the Madison River which offers some of the most diverse fly fishing in Montana. The Madison River runs through this scenic valley and is flanked by the towering Madison, Gravelly and Tobacco Root ranges which are all visable from our campsites. Our land is filled with wildlife including fox, coyotes, sandhill cranes, bald eagles, osprey, deer and antelope. Horses in the pasture to the North and cattle to the South. Crash in our field and you're only about 1 hour from Yellowstone, without the Yellowstone prices and congestion. The town of Ennis is 7 miles and the best steakhouse in the valley is 2 minutes north up HWY 287. Plan an easy afternoon trip to the historic Old West town of Virginia City (20 miles). We are surrounded by endless trails for hiking, 4 wheeling and trail riding. Big Sky Ski Resort is an hour and 30 minutes over the Madison Range. Take an evening to go to Norris Hotsprings (9 miles). Lewis and Clark Caverns one of the most highly decorated limestone caverns in North America is only 28 miles away. The list of activities goes on and on, but there is always the option to just relax and feel comfortable doing nothing. Vehicles will stay in the designated parking are and campers will walk to any area of the pasture they wish to set up camp! -This is a field, a pasture where grass grows to feed cattle. The views of the Madison Range and Tobacco Root Mountains is incredible. There are a few areas of trimmed grass, but for the most part this is a pasture with long grass. This area is not maintained like a KOA. This is not at all what would call "roughing it" but I grew up in Montana and we have different standards here. -We ask that you please give room to other campers, you'll have so much room it should never be an issue. -There is now a porta potty and fire pit! both of which are for all campers to use. Please do not set up camp right next to the firepit, right next to the porta potty or in the parking area. -This is a pasture alongside the road in Montana. There are no parking lot lights. There is no wifi. There are no trees or shelters. It is not private because it is an open field along HWY 287. That being said there are rarely ever more than 1-2 camping groups at a time. -The Campfire is communal. Everyone needs to be able to enjoy. There are several area to set up camp. We usualy will only have 1-2 campers at any given time. The most we have ever had at once is 4. -You're free to walk around and find your perfect spot. You can walk through the tall grass or you can camp in one of the spots that is trimmed down. You have that freedom! We trim down the "road", the firepit, a couple campsites and the area around the garbage and porta potty. We dont want to completely mow down our pasture. We like to keep it wild. When Hipcampers are not using the area its a place for deer, antelope, cyotes and sandhill cranes. If you want to have a campground with manicured walkways/camping spots this is not the green pasture for you. 🇺🇸 July 4th update FYI the 2 track road down to the canvas wall tent has irrigation water covering it. Don’t go down the path to the tent, you will get stuck. There are plenty of places to camp without driving down toward the canvas tent. There is a saw horse blocking the road. Please do not move the saw horse or drive down the road.

There are spots tucked away next to the shoreline, among the pines, that are super sweet for picnics, or hanging out, whilst the kiddos frolic in the water. The Wayfarers State Park is a part of a Waterfowl Preserve. Lots of ducks and geese. It's outside of town and pretty secluded. It has a very nice sandy beach and is in a shallow cove. Likewise, it's shallow for a long ways out, so there is no boating traffic here. Perfect for SUP's, Kayaker s, kids and dogs. If you love to sail, The North Flathead Yacht Club is a great place to meet locals and hitch a ride on a sailboat For whooping it up! Del's Bar is a great place. Miner Creek Campground

Nestled on 60 acres you'll find a private campground in a cottonwood grove just across a log bridge over Miner creek. Further down the gravel driveway you'll find a second campground that is tucked way back in a secluded cottonwood grove. The campgrounds are just 5 minutes to the charming historic downtown of Livingston and the Yellowstone River, 20 minutes to Bozeman and an hour to Yellowstone National Park. Dogs are welcome, as long as they are friendly to other dogs. Our dogs freely roam the property. Miner Creek Campground 1 has a picnic table, fire ring (bring your own firewood), two hammocks, solar lighting, a small portable charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal) and an outhouse. Although you can car camp at the Campground 1, please note that the camper parking spot is just off the driveway, and not across the creek where the tent site, picnic table and fire pit are located. Campsite 3, The "Not for the Faint of Heart" campsite, is just that! It's a 1-2 minute hike from the parking spot on an uneven trail through the trees. It has a fire ring (bring your own firewood), two camp chairs, solar lighting, a small portable grill (bring your own charcoal) and a small portalet. Do NOT rent this tent site unless you are ready, to explore and do not need to be close by your car. Make sure you arrive before dark because although the trail is lit by solar lights even with headlamps it can be tricky to find your way through the trees. The trail is tight and uneven and closed-toed shoes are highly recommended. The creek is not right by the tent site like it is in the "Creekside Oasis" campsite. There is a small break in the bushes that gives creek access. For both sites we recommend storing your food in your vehicle overnight.

We have a fire ring for those chilly evenings. 15, 30 and 50 amp electric hookups with Sewer and potable water connections at your site. Most mornings can be greated by pheasants, deer and rabbits. On the lucky occasion one might see an owl. DanWalt gardens just two houses down the road is the best way to enjoy your cup of coffee in the morning.

Miner Creek Campground

Nestled on 60 acres you'll find a private campground in a cottonwood grove just across a log bridge over Miner creek. Further down the gravel driveway you'll find a second campground that is tucked way back in a secluded cottonwood grove. The campgrounds are just 5 minutes to the charming historic downtown of Livingston and the Yellowstone River, 20 minutes to Bozeman and an hour to Yellowstone National Park. Dogs are welcome, as long as they are friendly to other dogs. Our dogs freely roam the property. Miner Creek Campground 1 has a picnic table, fire ring (bring your own firewood), two hammocks, solar lighting, a small portable charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal) and an outhouse. Although you can car camp at the Campground 1, please note that the camper parking spot is just off the driveway, and not across the creek where the tent site, picnic table and fire pit are located. Campsite 3, The "Not for the Faint of Heart" campsite, is just that! It's a 1-2 minute hike from the parking spot on an uneven trail through the trees. It has a fire ring (bring your own firewood), two camp chairs, solar lighting, a small portable grill (bring your own charcoal) and a small portalet. Do NOT rent this tent site unless you are ready, to explore and do not need to be close by your car. Make sure you arrive before dark because although the trail is lit by solar lights even with headlamps it can be tricky to find your way through the trees. The trail is tight and uneven and closed-toed shoes are highly recommended. The creek is not right by the tent site like it is in the "Creekside Oasis" campsite. There is a small break in the bushes that gives creek access. For both sites we recommend storing your food in your vehicle overnight.

We have chickens, fruit trees and a giant garden, and have 4 campsites in the wooded area of our property. We are excited to offer bathrooms and hot showers! Each campsite also has its own picnic table and there is a communal fire pit. We have a beautiful piece of property with the Columbia mountain range in our back yard. Great views, wildlife, garden, chickens. Situated on a dead end dirt road that is very peaceful and quiet. Hiking and water sports are also close by and we are only 6 miles from town. We are 20 miles to Glacier National Park, where the beauty and activities are endless. I have plenty of shopping, dining, hiking and activity ideas while visiting. We look forward to your visit!

Come check us out.We offer two private campsites on the Gallatin River near Logan, Montana, 1/4 mile apart on a working farm and ranch. Ranch also is located below ATT and Verizon cell towers. Five minutes from entrance gate to interstate ninety. We are thirty minutes from Bozeman, six miles from Three Forks, MT, three miles from Headwaters State Park (Headwaters of the Missouri River), 12 minutes from the Copper City Mountain biking trails, 20 minutes from Lewis and Clark Caverns, eight miles from Madison Buffalo Jump. Yellowstone National Park is two hours south of the property. Easy full recreational access to the Gallatin River, including fishing if you follow Montana FWP rules and regulations. Gallatin River is a blue-ribbon trout stream and there are four additional blue-ribbon trout streams that are within close proximity. Inhabited by most major indigenous species of Montana, except bison and mountain goats. This is a working farm and ranch and equipment and activities related to the operation should be expected also a train runs close to property. Host lives on the property and is available to contact.
