Weekend Trip to Greenwood Acres

Great site, loved the view and sunset. I thought it was fabulous that they have a swim beach(a little too chilly still for our stay)and cool things to borrow like a peddle boat, etc. Princess came by the evening we got there and dropped off our farm fresh eggs and introduce herself and her boys. We will be back. Oh, and the coyotes howling during the night was a super cool bonus!

1 night at Omaha Campsite

Easy pull thru and level site. Not a noisy place. Just know you are on someon's private property and farmland and owners burn, burnpiles and the smoke could affect your lungs . If the wind is directed at the campsites. Warning for Asmatic prone persons. Like me.

1 night at Little Rivers Edge RV Park and Camp

Beautiful location by the river with a hiking trail down to the water. Very tidy parking areas, water available at hydrants and quiet location. Friendly and fast responding host.

2 nights at Cottonwood Creek Camp

This is my second time starting here and I love it. Access to the living room/kitchen/bathroom is SO amazing to have. It snowed while I was there and Aaron shoveled a path on the driveway for me and even helped me scrape off my car. Can’t recommend it more!

Weekend Trip to Greenwood Acres

Princess B was a great host. The property was beutiful. She made us feel right at home and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this Hipcamp. The farm raised eggs made for a great breakfast.

The site was very interesting, convenient, comfortable and lovely. It felt safe and quiet. We slept well and enjoyed the night sky. The hosts keep the property very clean and they could not have been more accommodating. Thank you for offering this site to us, especially in the winter. .

This was the perfect quick stop for us as we venture back across the country. The added benefit of the bathroom and shower made getting ready for another long day of driving way more bearable. Had a very good experience. The location was very peaceful, there is a walking trail across the street that leads all the way to the water! Site was very easy to find and pull into, and the water and electric worked great. Host was very communicative and kind. Highly recommend for those passing through that need a safe and cozy place to stay.

The property, purchased in 2016 from hoarders, has been gradually improved by the owners, who are proud of their progress. The front area includes their home, garden (guests can take produce), and a shop for their turf business. Chickens roam freely near the host house, so pets should be monitored. There are also calm honeybees on site. Hipcamp sites are located at the back, along with a pond for swimming and fishing. From May to September, guests can use beach toys, a paddle board, kayak, and paddle boat. Hammocks and a large playground are also available for guests to enjoy.

Super Target, Aldi's and many other stores 5 minutes away. Disc golf and mini golf courses 2 miles away. There is also access to the Lincoln bike trails via residential streets. Laundry is provided for an extra fee. Easy access off Highway 2 at the 68th/70th Street Exit, via Saltillo Rd. and then 56th St.

Though it’s a small city, Omaha has a big history. In the 1800s, Lewis and Clark met with Native American people here on their way west. Today, modern adventurers camp along the Missouri River and Nebraska prairies. From any local campsite or RV park, it’s easy to hike, bike, boat, and fish. Start your RV or tent camping trip at Platte River State Park; or, book a glamping cabin. Hike or bike miles of trails, or launch your canoe in the river. Just to the east, Louisville State Recreation Area has 283 campsites with picnic tables. Kids love the floating playground, and paddlers float in peace—there are no motors allowed. North of Omaha, sleep next to the water at Glenn Cunningham Lake. Nearby, you can hit the links at local golf courses. Toward Lincoln, Eugene T. Mahoney State Park is a family favorite.
