Weekend Trip to Teddy's Tiny Town

Gerri and Michael were wonderful hosts! Kind and friendly! They talked me to their place twice when my GPS took me the wrong way. A plus was the private flush toilet. Oh yes, can't forget their cute, friendly dog. Came up to me with tail wagging. There is also horseshoe area if you want to do that. I will stay there again the next time I make it out to their area! Thank you both for a wonderful stay!

2 nights at Tarantula Ranch

We had a great time at Tarantula Ranch Vineyard/Death Valley Camp. The facilities are very well kept, clean bathrooms and shower, there is even an enclosed rustic outdoor "Cowboy" shower. The campsites are pretty small and tight together so it was very social. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. Leah Ann the camp host was especially nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our day in Death Valley a truly amazing place. Also went to Tacopa hot spring and the China Date Ranch. We will definitely stay here when we are back in the area.

1 night at Tarantula Ranch

The Tarantula Ranch Vineyard was by far my favorite campsite of 2025. I’d recommend it to anyone headed to Death Valley. It is unique, well kept and truly an oasis in the desert. The outdoor kitchen, bathrooms, shower and fire pits are all in great shape. On top of all that was an exceptional hostess full of good tips for near by adventures.

It's a very flat lot next to the house. It is exposed on one side to the road but is set back aways. There are airplanes that come over depending on the landing pattern, But generally very quiet. Opposite the road are the camels and the horses on the property. It was a very very lovely spot to be for several days, added two more. Will definitely come back, if I'm in the area.

Weekend Trip to Mojave Desert Ranch

We loved staying at Sandy Valley Ranch in the tipi. It was a unique stay with all the amenities one would need to be comfortable. The tipi was perfect for 2 adults and we slept well. The outdoor kitchen and campfire cooking tools were more than enough for a glamper to make a meal. The facilities were close and clean. The valley is the real star of the show with incredible sunrises, sunsets and night skies. Thank you for sharing your ranch with us.

1 night at Retro Camper with Mountain Views

We loved the entire experience! I would highly recommend this property to anyone. The property is a block away from the Pioneer Saloon, a great place to eat and grab a few drinks. At night, you can see the glow of Las Vegas beaming from behind the mountain behind the Pioneer Saloon. Heather, our host, bent over backwards to accommodate our last second reservation. She did a great job. We had a wonderful experience! We had a fire in the fire pit just off the deck that overlooks the Pioneer Saloon and glow of Las Vegas in the background. One of our three slept in the camper and two of us set up cots and slept on the deck under the stars. Can't wait to come back.

I stayed for a few days while exploring and attending a conference in Las Vegas. It was the perfect spot for me, a desert retreat. I loved the deck!

This spot is great for simply taking in the beauty of the desert or using it as a home base for exploring Death Valley and all the other wonders of this area. Gerri and Michael could not have been sweeter. The facilities are immaculate, and being on over 2 acres gives you plenty of tranquility and space from neighbors. The outdoor bathroom is as nice as what you would find indoors. They have great Wi-Fi access, allowing me to work remotely. My experience was so wonderful I would consider coming back to the area simply to stay here!

Nevada's newest state park, Ice Age Fossils State Park, is just a few miles away and offers a glimpse into prehistoric time in the region. My place is very unique if you are looking for a different place to stay other than an RV park.
