Great desert campsite! It’s conveniently close to I-40 if you’re traveling in either direction, but still far enough out that you aren’t bothered by any highway noise. Beautiful sunsets and night sky. The hosts were very welcoming, and so was their pup! Recommend for self-contained campers.

1 night at American RV Resort

Great location for an overnight RV stay. Ground was level, bathrooms, laundry, showers all clean and working perfectly. Very friendly, professional, and helpful staff on site. We stayed at 8 locations during our New Mexico road trip and this park was handsdown the best. Like, no competition. Everything was ready when we arrived and we just had to stop by the office to get our site number. Nice fenced kids play area and little dog park too.

The place was beautiful, extremely welcoming and comforting atmosphere. The host was very sweet and gave me needed nearby recommendations for food and repairs i needed done. Felt safe at all times as a solo traveler, this is the spot!

Weekend Trip to Mesa Top camping

Kim has a very special spot here and I’m so glad we were able to stay. Gorgeous view of the canyon and mesa, plus a very special cemetery to explore. I was glad we were driving a high clearance vehicle for the road up from town, so be mindful of that. But Kim was very kind and we hope to be able to return again some time.

Beautiful spot to view the surrounding area. Close to ABQ yet without the noise or congestion.

The campground itself is good. There's a nice walking route and path for the dogs, but the road coming is is tough with a camper, so be prepared for a bumpy entrance. Very friendly greeting! It we felt safe here as well but didn't do any expressions because the weather was bad. Overall, we'd stop here again. Looking forward to seeing how they develop it.

I was there to teach my shy dog the joys of camping, and the setting was ideal for our little adventure. Jeanie warmly greeted me upon arrival, which made me feel right at home. I loved having the entire space to myself, allowing for a truly private experience. The weather was absolutely perfect, and the sky was a breathtaking sight, adding to the overall beauty of the location. I highly recommend this site to anyone seeking an easy-to-reach, secluded camping experience. It’s a hidden gem that offers tranquility and the chance to connect with nature. I can’t wait to return!

Camping on Tricia's land was a lovely and straightforward experience. There was only 1 other camper quite aways away from us so it felt very private. Sunset was gorgeous and the stars were beautiful! Tricia was very helpful with directions and pictures as well.

Absolutely loved our RV camping experience here! It was incredibly peaceful. Check-in was a breeze, and Joseph was exceptionally responsive and helpful, guiding us through the process. The site was perfect – all the hookups (water, electricity, sewer) were conveniently located and worked flawlessly. The mountain views were stunning, and despite being near the main road, it was surprisingly quiet. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We'll definitely be back!"

It was nice to have a place that's in town and close to the supplies needed for travel but still in a quaint neighborhood. The home has a couple different secluded garden options where you can unwind. Also it's a short walk to a nice little park where I could take my dog for some exercise. Desert area, 6000" elevation, so very dry and must be excectionally careful about fires. Only in provided grills . There is abundant wood that you can use for free, but put all coals out and you can use the creek water, when it is there. REMEMBER this is the desert!!I would like to book a 3 month visit from January 1st-April 1st with free water. You need to provide your own electricity, but solar would be an excellent option as sites are on south facing, so panels would work well. I would like to trade a discount for help on the farm during this time. $5.00 a day disount, plus the water. You would be the only one booked during this time, so very quiet and private for long term winter stay!!

I have oner half acre of land that is open for camping and Air BNB options. The view is amazing, and you can see the Sandia Mountains and the Albuquerque Balloons in the distance. There are neighbors at a distance away which leaves the space private and peaceful. The morning birds are lovely to hear. The sunsets vary each day with vibrant colors and the sunsets are just and grand. Fires are okay if the wind is low or in a contained area. There is wildlife such as owls, crows, hawks, squirrels, chipmunks, deer, badgers, snakes, coyotes and more. The property is not fenced in so you do not want to leave any food out at night if sleeping in a tent. I live a short distance away and I am available if you need anything. The entrance is on Jupiter and Torcido, and that will take you to Venus. Once on Venus, that road will wind around to the camp site. Park anywhere you would like. No human traffic goes through that area. Pick a spot and enjoy! There may or may not be other campers, but so far, it has been pretty quiet around here. Water refill station is not far and available for public use. You will have to sign up for a city water account to fill water. That is free to sign up, and you do not have to be a local. Anyone can do this. The water is one cent per gallon.
