Stony Rose Farms is located in the beautiful and historic Hudson Valley. Our area has a rich farming heritage and our land was once part of a much larger farm. We purchased the land in February of 2020 and have created our own off grid paradise full of chickens, flowers, bees and lots of different types of plants. We are NOT a commercial campground, we are a working farm that offers Agrotourism stays and experiences. Our hens and roosters play an important role in the sustainable agricultural practices we use on the farm. Our lovely ladies provide us with delicious and colorful eggs each day. Your breakfast at the farm can't get any fresher... sunny side up eggs dripping yolk onto fresh local bread, fresh melons and berries still warm from the sun, sweet honey and local milk in your coffee. A true farm to table meal is possible year round in our beautiful valley! Most weekends we offer a breakfast basket filled with goodies produced on our farm or by other local growers. The back of our property is also wooded. If you are quiet you are certain to see birds, squirrels, chipmunks, turkey and deer as you walk along the creek and explore the mossy rocks and tiny waterfalls. If you follow the marked bushwack trail you'll be guided over fallen trees and through breaks in historic stone walls, then across the creek and up the hill you will come out onto the O&W Rail Trail. This 27 mile trail is perfect for hiking, biking and strolling. In some segments it is smoothly paved and others it is gravel. From this trail you can access multiple parks, libraries and museums if you are looking for a long hike or ride. We are centrally located between Kingston, Kerhonkson, Woodstock and New Paltz and all are about a scenic 20 minutes drive. The NYS Thruway is less than 10 minutes away if you are traveling through. The Rondout Valley is home to multiple breweries, amazing restaurants, luxurious spas, places to kayak, fish, swim, rock climb... or you could spend your entire visit at the farm reading a good book and enjoying beautiful sunsets. PLEASE NOTE: -We are a working farm that uses sustainable organic methods. -There are bugs (ants, ticks, bees, mosquitos, etc) -We keep the grass at the campsites short but you will have long grass around you. That long grass is home to numerous kinds of birds that only live in that type of habitat. - Poison ivy is also possible when out in nature, we do NOT spray any chemicals on ANY of our land. -The sites are within earshot to the chicken coops, we DO have roosters and you WILL hear them. -There are wild animals around the farm. You should store away all food and garbage when you are not at the campsite. We would like to keep them cautious of humans and not a nuisance! -On holiday weekends we do have a minimum night stay.

Our 75 acres is a wonderful, diverse mix of habitat, harmoniously integrated with our small farm. This land was the homestead of the very first white settler of the area, John Wiley, in 1787. The Wyomanock Creek is the backbone of this little valley. Beaver have dammed the creek at several points to create ponds and other wetland features that support a diversity of wildlife including otter, moose and a myriad of birds, from osprey to herons. This sanctuary is host to many uncommon native plants and plant communities. We would love to share it with you! This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. Towner's Country Paradise

In the 1960s, Llewellyn's love for aviation led him to construct a small airstrip and hangar, and then his son Terry began to plant Christmas Trees (no more cows) and clear much of the land. By the early 1970's our main and largest pond was built and since that time our fully functional cabin, several more fish ponds, roads, trails, running water and generated electricity have been added. **Please confirm you have read our property description and rules before booking** Our slice of paradise consists of 225 acres of forested land nestled in the foothills of the Catskills near Albany. We are a homestead and small campground devoted to the principles of organic farming and self-reliance. Modern agriculture and big business are unsustainable, destroying farmland at an accelerating pace. It is important for us to teach the next generation, there is an alternative. We produce much of our own food. We have friendly goats, chickens, ducks, peacocks, donkeys and horses the guests can pet and feed. There are no swimming holes on our property, but many waterfalls and swimming spots within a short drive (see list below). A quick 5 minute drive will get you to one of the best disc golf courses in the north east. For the truly adventurous, Clarksville Cave is a short drive away. We are a 15 acre farm on the shores of Swan Lake with plenty of campsites sites on the property, accommodating tents, mid sized campers and RV's. No children under 16 please. Depending on how crowded we are, privacy varies, but on most weekends you can be out of site of other campers. Many campsites have fire-pits already, but you're welcome to make your own anywhere you'd like. While camping, you may be visited by over 100 friendly, free roaming FARM ANIMALS! (We just had BABY GOATS born in early May and expect more at the end of June!) You may feed the animals anything you bring, but please don't let them eat plastic bags! We cannot offer reimbursement for tents damaged by animals. This is extremely rare, but it CAN happen. If you do not wish to put your tent at risk, please do not camp here. The farm was once an old bungalow colony and has some glass and metal still in the soil. Please wear shoes. Firewood is available at several locations around the farm. There is a heated sink and shower in the back corner of our main camping area. Boats are available at our lakeside dock, so you can boat to our corner store or venture into the wild north end of Swan Lake. There's a tall mountain for hiking and an awesome secret swimming hole, both within a 10 minute drive. Enjoy a child free visit, as we do not allow children under 16 years old. Underhill Forest and Farm

Underhill Inn is a small homestead located in the Finger Lakes region tucked in the rolling hills near Dryden Lake. We have a small garden, a flock of sheep and chickens, hives of honeybees and countless wild foraging on our 36 acres of pasture and hiking trails. Take a walk down to Brockendock pond and cruise across the water in a canoe or paddleboat to find peepers, heron, toads and turtles. Drop a line in the water to catch trout, bass and sunnies. The chicken coop is always bustling and there are plenty of eggs to harvest each day. A morning hike on the trails usually kicks up the deer and wild turkeys and at night the barn owl will sing for you if you listen close. Adults and children are welcome to pet and feed the animals on the farm. There are farm tours available where you can learn more about our mushroom garden, composting techniques, blueberries, felting, and more.

Waterfall Creek

This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site.
