Clearing Farm

2 sites · Lodging100 acres · Glen Spey, NY
Welcome to Clearing Farm! Our grounds expand over 100 acres with many private hiking trails, a big field and cascading waterfalls. Visit our Instagram @clearingfarm to find out more. Please note while our cabin is a premium experience on a working farm, it is still an outdoor experience that takes place deep in the woods, off the grid and in a cabin built from earthy or recycled materials. It is a far cry from a typical hotel or traditional glamping. This Clearing Farm off-grid cabin is located on our 100+ acre farm. You'll be staying right next to a waterfall and able to enjoy all our land features. Experience a private campsite equipped with a Casper Full Mattress, fire pit and charcoal grill. Please note there is 1 bed at the property but room next to the cabin to bring and put up additional tents. THERE IS NO LONGER THE WOOD BURNING STOVE IN THE CABIN - THE TOWN MADE US TAKE IT OUT.

Angelica NY is just a few miles up the road, where you will find cute antique shops, dollar general, post office etc. There's many Amish farms around to purchase cheap slab firewood, fresh vegetables or eggs. We love our little slice of private water side camping here in Angelica and hope you will take care of it like it was yours. Please no carving of names or dates in any structure, do not cut or chop down any living tree or vegetation. Our property has a lot of walnut trees- watch for falling nuts come late summer and fall! Minglewood Camp

2 sites · Lodging90 acres · Trumansburg, NY
Both my husband Ben, and I are natives to the Fingerlakes region. We are  nature lovers and enjoy , (Love) camping. When this property became available to us we couldn't help visualize our dream camp spot. We decided to make a go for it. The frontage of the property is a small mobile home park which truly reminded us of a quaint camp community we had just visited in Canada. After exploring the 90 acres of hardwood forest beyond the park we realized an eco friendly camp ground was exactly what the property needed. Ben sourced only local wood for the cabin and used all natural building materials. No plastic anywhere! our hope is that people who need a break from the hustle of daily life can visit Minglewwood and enjoy some serenity. Our sweet little cabin is about a quarter mile into the forest. You will have total privacy. The cabin sits beside a little creek which runs till late summer depending on rain.  There is 90 acres of beautiful forest to explore. The stunning Finger lakes are only a short drive as well as the impressive Gorges that surround the area. You will find no shortage of natural beauty when you visit Minglewood camp.

Queen's Cabin

1 site · Lodging5 acres · Kerhonkson, NY
Dog Friendly and Fully Fenced!! This rustic 600 square-foot cabin with a semi-private bedroom and a fold-out couch can comfortably sleep up to 4 adults. The bathroom and kitchen both have modern amenities. There's a wood stove but also electric heat and AC and hot water. Huge sliding glass doors open up to a wrap-around porch. No TV, but Wifi. It sits on 5 wooded acres and nearly a full acre of cleared land is fenced, making it safe for dogs to run off leash. The house sits within the fenced in acre so you can conveniently open the doors and let your dogs run free. There is one visible house across the street from the front of the cabin but it feels very private in the back of the house. There is a firepit. There are two outbuildings onsite that are not available for rent at this time. The cabin is 20 mins from Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Mountain House, and 35 mins from Kingston, New Paltz, Gardiner, Phonecia and Woodstock. Local restaurants of note include Mill and Main, Roughcut Brewing, Westwind Orchard, Arrowood Farms, and Harana. We live in the chalet next door where we offer small group fitness classes most days of the week. Ask us for more info if you're interested.

1 site · Lodging2 acres · Kingston, NY
PRIVATE TWO ACRE CAMPSITE. OWNER OPERATED. Spring camping at its best! Come and enjoy a luxury tent with plush and cozy bedding. The Nest is the most unique private Camping experience in the Hudson Valley. It boasts a fully covered oversized safari style tent on its own deck with propane heater. Outdoor seating and a separate deck with a rustic kitchen area with propane grill. Cozy up to the fire pit area for star gazing and roasting marshmallows. Proudly Owner Operated! No management companies, no cleaning crews..... In order to offer our guests the best experience possible with the highest standards, we personally clean and prepare our property, we coordinate bookings and we communicate with guests. Should you need anything or have any questions during your stay, we will take the call and personally respond to any guest needs. We are extremely proud to be able to do this. Pull into your own private driveway with room for two cars. Use the cart we provide you to carry back your bags and goodies! Camping gear, you will not need! We have thought of everything to make this the best stay possible! Be sure to check out the private porta potty as you make your way down the path. It is emptied weekly and is sanitized between each stay. As you make your way down the path through the woods, you will surely be surprised as you come up to this beautiful site! On your right, you will come upon our rustic, yet beautiful, outdoor kitchen with gorgeous stained glass windows. It is set on a deck along with dining area and gazebo. The Kitchen has plenty of counter space. Enjoy the coffee area which has a K-cup coffee maker, tea kettle and tin mugs! You can store drinks in the mini fridge provided and use the cooler for your bigger items. Cook amazing meals on the propane grill with side burner. Plates, cups, and even a pan is supplied for your stay. Move the rollaway "bar" to where ever it works best for you! Enjoy your meals on the four seat patio table between the kitchen and the gazebo. When you're done or if it is too buggy, move on over to the comfy sofa and chairs in the fully netted gazebo.*** Turn on the overhead lights as the night falls upon you. Oh did we not mention there is electricity?? Well, yes there is! You will find outlets in the kitchen, gazebo and the safari sleeping tent! When you're ready for some star gazing and camp stories, or even a game of darts…move on over to the fire pit area directly across from the kitchen/gazebo deck. It's perfect for roasting marshmallows and having drinks by the fire. Be sure to bring plenty of wood as you will definitely want to linger into the night! To end your magical night, retire over to the oversized 14'x16' safari style tent. It is a comfy and spacious eclectically designed retreat. Boasting a gel memory foam mattress on a queen size bed with lush sheets and down alternative comforter to ensure everyone's comfort. Enjoy the seating area with a good book as the afternoon sun shines through. Then rinse off under the al fresco five gallon camp shower and dry off with the lush towels provided! We are excited to be using rain water collected in 50 gallon rain barrels! When the temperature drops, we provide you with body wipes for personal hygiene use as we understand that super cold showers aren't for everyone! Plus the colder temps just freeze any water left out anyway. Sweet dreams are sure to follow with either the fan on those warm nights or the heaters on those chillier nights! We provide you with an electric heater as well as a propane space heater (October through March only ). The tent heats up nicely with the propane heater so get ready to be cozy! We simply ask you to not run the heaters if you are not in the tent! We provide you with a tank of propane for your stay! We also strongly suggest you bring extra warm clothing! The Nest @ Woodstock is located in the beautiful back woods of Woodstock, one of America’s most popular small towns, filled with amazing shops, restaurants, music and unique people. The property also shares an original stone wall border with the town of Saugerties, also once called one of the “coolest small towns in America”. The Nest is also right down the road from Kingston which houses most of our favorite restaurants, shops and bars. All these amazing towns are within 10 minutes of the site, so your options are endless. The property is also bordered by several large dormant farms and protected land. Across the street is a 75 year old Sportsmans Club that promotes the interest in the conservation of earth’s natural resources, the safe use of firearms and archery and to pass that enthusiasm onto youth. Once in a while you can hear some people target shooting or practicing but for the most part, it is just you and the birds and wildlife. With that said, this is the woods! There are wild turkey, owls, deer and the occasional bear. We actually like to think that the few target shots that you may hear throughout the day, scare away these animals!! However, you want to be sure to respect nature and use all precautions to protect it and yourself. You want to make sure that you store all food in the fridge and cooler to keep animals at bay. Any trash should be placed in the trash cans and tightly sealed. We ask that you always leave it better than you found it for yourself and generations to come! This is a camping experience without needing to set up or breakdown a campsite! There are outdoor spaces that will get dusty, will have leaves and will have spider webs as they are outdoors!! While everything is wiped down for your stay, including outdoor spaces, they are still outdoor spaces. Winter Camping adventure awaits! Staying at The Nest in winter months has proven to be an absolutely magical experience for hundreds of our guests. However, it does require a little extra planning and an understanding of winter in the Hudson Valley. Between November and April, the weather can have its extremes and does not allow for running water as the pipes will freeze and crack. Unfortunately, even leaving bottled water often just ends up being blocks of ice and not useable for our guests. We simply ask guests to bring in water during their stay to ensure a safe useable water source. We also ask guests to bring proper clothing. The tent does reach comfortable temperatures, however, extreme cold snaps can make it necessary to bundle up and cuddle with your main squeeze. If you are open to a little adventure and a little planning, come and enjoy our little oasis! If you are looking for high end amenities with hot showers and instant heat on demand, this is probably not for you and we suggest trying our outdoor experiences in warmer months. ***If booking with us for the months of November through March, please note that there will not be water available for the camp showers as the water just freezes if left out. The water cooler with cold and hot water is also removed. We recommend that you bring in water that you will need and use on a daily basis. There are gas stations/stores close by where they can be purchased.*** ***Please note our Strict Cancellation Policy. We strongly recommend that you purchase trip insurance for your reservation for any unforeseen emergencies!! There are many companies out there that will give you different options at affordable prices! Please do your research. Unfortunately, we do NOT allow date changes due to weather. This is an outdoor experience...come sun, rain or snow. If you read through our reviews, you will find that all weather experiences are magical!

Kelsey Creek Field and Valley

2 sites · RVs, Tents23 acres · Afton, NY
Learn more about this land: Reservations are open year-round. Campers will enjoy a lovely mix of New York wilderness and wildlife, but the property is only a mile from local restaurants, shops, and the quaint town of Afton. We have one space for an RV on a gravel pad, but depending on your vehicle's off-road ability and/or how dry it is, you are welcome to park a little further away from the road and closer to the wildlife. Site 1 is the gravel pad for RVs. There are no RV hookups and the site is close to the road. Site 2 is parking your vehicle or RV anywhere on the property. If your vehicle has 4-wheel drive, you can use the road down to the valley. The top 4 acres is a cleared, gently sloping field that goes back 600 feet from the road to a ridge of trees, where the largest part of the property starts. There is a road that was cut down to the valley (about 70 feet of descent) that is an easy walk. Although the top property has some spots with nice views, the true beauty of the property is the valley and the flowing creek. One-half of the lower property is a pine forest with many great camping spots for those who don't mind carrying their gear. The other half, where the road ends, is an open meadow. Vehicles with 4-wheel drive can park in the meadow next to the creek. When the wild plants of the meadow are high, I will cut a path through it for convenient access to the creek and other favorite spots. The crystal-clear, unpolluted creek has two places to swim, about 3-5 feet deep (depending on the season and what changes the last rains made), and is full of crayfish, salamanders, and even brook trout if you like to fish. My two boys (aged 9 and 11) never tire of exploring the forest, brook, and wildlife with me, and a dip in the cool brook is refreshing on a hot day. About a mile from the property, in town, there is a place to park for kayaking or fishing on the Susquehanna River. Oquaga State park is only 23 minutes away with fishing, boating, and a sandy beach on Arctic Lake. I hope you will have a lovely time camping with us! Occasionally, there are two noise-making businesses that you may want to know before booking. There is a private shooting club about 2.5 miles away that is open on the weekends. Normally we don't hear them, but they do occasionally, a couple times a year, have events that we hear. There is also a race track about 2 miles away that you can hear from the property on race nights, which are usually twice a month on a Friday, but they occasionally have additional special events. If you are looking for long-term camping, please let me know as we will definitely do discounts for weekly or monthly stays. Tiny Homes are also welcome.

The 1772 Lefevre Homestead

1 site · Tent40 acres · New Paltz, NY
This property was once a working apple orchard. Over regulation made it very difficult to manage so we let it lie foul for years. Then we let a fellow farmer use it to graze his cattle. Now our children has taking it over and are raising beef cattle on the property. Our campsite lies on the beautiful two and a half century old LeFevre family farmstead with rich history and stunning views of the Shawangunk Mountain ridge. The property is on a 40-acre old apple orchard that is super private and filled with dramatic views and spectacular sunsets. Wake up in your tent to the sounds of birds chirping, roasters crowing and cows just close enough but just far enough way. On occasion there may be a person driving by to tend to the cattle.

1 site · RV, Tent260 acres · Hampton, NY
Amazing location with panoramic views of the Vermont Green Mountain range, this property adjoins a public 9 hole golf course. Located on over 260 private and secluded acres, property also has a 2 acre pond for swimming, paddling or just relaxing. There are several miles of maintained hiking trails meandering throughout the forest, ranging from an easy walk, to hilly and somewhat challenging. Many varieties of tent locations or places to park an RV, pop up, or car. This is considered a "Primitive camp site". There is no shower, toilet or electric available at this time, but well water can be had from our residence, via a hose spigot on the side of our home.
