The Camper has Central Air and Heating, WIFI, TV, Stone and a fridge. This is a 4-season tent outfitted with most everything you will need for a remarkable experience. It has a twin size bed and ample blankets and pillows to make your stay comfortable and warm. It is on an elevated platform so you will stay dry and dirt free. The bed sleeps 2 and the floor can sleep an additional 2 adults. The Yurt has electricity, Wi-Fi, tv and a wood burning stove. There is an indoor bathroom with running water and an outside shower. There is fire pit and BBQ on the site. ###Note the water will be turned off from the months of January until March. The toilet will still work. ####

There is a small traditional Mongolian yurt in my backyard, next to my fixer upper house. There is road noise, sometimes more, sometimes less. Max 4 people can sleep in the yurt. You have to bring your own sleeping pads and sleeping bags. There is water, sink, and toilet access in house, no shower. Fire pit also available. The yurt is 99% rainproof, some drips happen in torrential rain. No smoking, no parties, quiet hours between 10pm-8am.

And make sure you understand the ‘house rules’ and ‘seasonal/off-grid amenity limitations’ (listed toward the bottom of this description -- under "Other Things to Note"). Feel free to message me with any questions. ********************** Off-grid, 350 sqft. of interior with wrap around deck, fully surrounded by nature, tons of natural lighting, a dome and nine windows, minimally and thoughtfully furnished, cozy, inspirational, recharging, and healing. ********************** Your rental space includes privacy — it’s not shared and there are no neighbors in sight from yurt. You have access to the woods, the yurt and its wrap around deck, the back part of the field for games like corn hole, and parking on the gravel pad across from family’s cabin. ********************** My sister and brother-in-law live in a cabin elsewhere on this 5 acre property and I will be elsewhere here when not traveling. One of us will enter yurt during your stay if battery station needs charging or supplies need replenishing. (Yurt is off-grid). And you might occasionally hear or see us if we are tending the grounds. ********************** Depending on time of year there are animal sounds or sightings like birds, woodpeckers, hawks, owls, chipmunks, turkey, deer, fox, and coyote. And you might hear rain/snow pattering or tree nuts periodically dropping on the roof. ********************** 1) Inside yurt, you have access to a kitchenette with fridge, two-burner propane stove, filtered drinking water, sink with non-potable water, and basic cooking utensils like cutlery and pot/pan. (Seasonal limitations apply — scroll down toward the bottom of this property description). ********************** 2) You have an indoor wood stove for colder temps. The equivalent of four slow-burning logs and a few fire-starters will be provided complementary. Anything beyond that is $3/log. This is the only wood that can be used with this particular stove. No outside wood permitted. ********************** **There is also a basic outdoor fire pit with a grate for BBQing — for this you can make use of fallen limbs here and some of our personal stash. But we request grabbing a bundle at Stewart’s shop down the road too. ********************** 3) There are 3-4 beds. See photos. A) a firm sofa that you arrange into a Full-size bed or two Singles (or you can keep sofa setup as is). B) an extra long Twin futon that sits on a tatami mat. C) a firm foam air mattress that doesn’t deflate on you (Single). **There is also plenty of floor space with an available camping mat if that is preferred. Two full-size comforters, one twin comforter, and four pillows are provided. ********************** 4) There is an outhouse shower with hot water during the summer only. Depending on outside temperatures, it might also be available in the early fall and late spring, but this varies year to year. Liquid body soap and towels/washcloths are provided. Bring all other toiletries you need. There is a basic compost toilet year round with toilet paper provided. ********************** 5) Since the yurt is off-grid, you have access to a number of USB/battery-operated items like lanterns, fans, and a power station for charging your devices (both USB and AC plug capable). There are also cleaning items like a handheld vacuum or rug cleaner in case of a spill or mess. A carbon monoxide and smoke alarm, fire extinguisher, and gas leak detector are here. And there’s a first aid kit in the outhouse. ********************** 6) There is no wifi, but there is internet access with great LTE or 5G signal using Verizon carrier. Guests have reported that other carriers have worked too, with some variance in signal. But most folks come and try to unplug anyhow. ************************

Really enjoyed our weekend, listening to the sounds of the waterfall while soaking in the mineral tub!! Everything was exactly as we hope for!!! Sam was an excellent host!! It got pretty cold but the tent stayed nice and warm. Oohhh the stars we amazing twinkling through out the trees. Hope to come back again when it’s a little warmer and try out one of the other sites on this beautiful property!!

The site was great! There a are few stores on the property, but you still feel secluded. The waterfall was all frozen over for our trip and looked amazing. You could still hear the water flowing under the ice and it created some nice background noise. The outhouses were very clean and only 50 or so feet away. Some of the pics on Hipcamp show the old bell tent with a wood stove, but that's been updated with a cabin tent and propane heater, which kept things plenty warm. There's also a 2 burner propane cooking stove. All in all an excellent experience.

Loved it! Sam was very attentive when we arrived and answered all my questions. We stayed during a snow storm and we were very warm with the heating inside the RV. All the basics you need are there like cups, plates, paper towels, even a TV with Netflix. It was great. We’ll be back!

My husband and I decided to start the new year by escaping the hustle and bustle of city life, and our glamping experience was absolutely perfect. The setting was serene and beautiful—exactly what we needed to unwind and reconnect. We fell asleep each night to the soothing sound of a nearby waterfall, which was so calming and peaceful. We had a short but pleasant encounter with our host, Sam, who seemed like a very chill and laid-back person. He was communicative and responsive whenever we reached out, ensuring we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. The tent itself was cozy and comfortable, equipped with a propane heater that kept us warm despite the chilly air outside. We spent our evenings sitting by the fire, enjoying each other's company and stargazing under the clear night sky—an unforgettable experience. Everything about the trip was wonderful: the peaceful surroundings, the gorgeous nature, and the chance to simply relax. It was the perfect start to the new year, and we can’t wait to return for another peaceful escape. We had a wonderful and restful time staying at Sam's A-frame. Sam was friendly and easily available for any questions but gave us complete privacy. The wood fired hot tub was great and the dogs loved exploring the property. The water level in the stream was low but Sam ran the generator when we were off site so that we were fully charged.
