Dogs are harmless but do bark when they do not know you... City of Springfield is less than three miles away. A Sheets and Loves Truckstop are 300 yards away with the Loves having a dump station. Next door to this property is a BP Station and Carryout. The Loves Truckstop has a Wendys, Subway, and dog park. Sheets also has a food court. All within walking distance. Great location as Columbus is 30 min to the east, Dayton is 25 min to the west. 13 min to I 675 and 20 min to Interstate 75 N/S. I 71 N/S Columbus is 35 min away in downtown Columbus... NOTE: Little over a quarter of a mile off of Interstate 70, and on a State Route, If looking for absolute silence and desolation, this is not for you. Back off of the road but all the sounds carry.....

Our beautiful 1800’s cabin was moved to the property in the 1970’s by a former neighbor who owned the property at the time. The same neighbor also had a historic train depot moved to the property where she sold antiques out of for several years. It is not sure what the cabin was used for at that time but it certainly added charm to the antique store property. When we acquired the property years later, the cabin was in need of work. It sat for a few years until we decided to restore this lovely cabin back to it’s beautiful charm and character. Jim spent a couple years on the project working in his free time and added the porch using old wood in keeping with the natural look and feel of the cabin as well as some interior areas. Upon completion, we opened the cabin as a gift shop selling unique items including antiques, primitives and decor for a few years. We decided to transition the cabin into a place of retreat for traveling guests and still keep some of the goods we sold in the shop available for purchase. We hope that you find the cabin and property a place of peace and tranquility and will want to return. Whether passing through for a night or a few days stay, you’re always welcome in our neck of the woods. Sweet Spot by Yellow Springs

The campsite is in an open meadow on our 5 acre property, next to the ruins of what was one of the oldest barns in the county (there are still some beautiful stone walls left). You will be surrounded by trees and the spot is completely private. Directly across the road from our property (a 5 minute walk) is the Little Miami Scenic Trail, the third longest paved trail in the US (amazing for biking). The unique village of Yellow Springs is only a 5 minute drive away with a great local grocery store and several cafes. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BOOKING. Notes: 1) For camper vans: we do allow camper vans (not RVs or trailers) but you will need to park at the entrance of the meadow where there is gravel. Recently a camper got stuck in the meadow due to rain/mud (which is why we do not allow RVs or trailers). 2) We are still building a compost toilet so the option on the property now is to dig a cat hole at least 6" deep. There is an open public toilet in Yellow Springs and several businesses with open bathrooms. 3) The campsite is right off of Route 68. You cannot see cars from the site but you can hear them. The amount of noise from cars is lower at night. 4) The meadow is ideal for tent camping, though it is NOT a built campsite so it is not perfectly level throughout.

An active "choose-n-cut" tree farm until 2019, we're letting most of our farm grow wild with some deciduous trees also. There are walking trails throughout the "woods" and around our 3/4 acre fishing pond (catch n release please). Relax on the bench on the old country store porch or by the fire ring, fish, or stretch your legs and walk the dog. A pleasant, private, isolated spot in the country to overnight or spend a couple days. If you're a small family staying just one night, there is no "extra guest" fee for dependent children. Includes a 30 amp service hookup. Gravel parking lot angles slightly up hill. No tents, no swimming please. 2 nights max per stay. No bathrooms on site! 20 acre property with large and small barn. Just off of Interstate 70 and Rt 41. (approximately 1/4 mi from highway). Paved parking areas on each side of the barn with available water and electricity hook up on each side of the barn. Wooded lot with 1 mile walking trail on property for guests and pets. NOTE: Maximum stay on north and south barn sites is 2 consecutive nights UNLESS we discuss the situation prior to the dates. Note, we have a rear patio porch and deck on the back of the house that we use and is in sight. 4 dogs between daughter next door (South side of barn) and us but both have fenced in yards that we try to keep the dogs in when campers are present. Dogs are harmless but do bark when they do not know you... City of Springfield is less than three miles away. A Sheets and Loves Truckstop are 300 yards away with the Loves having a dump station. Next door to this property is a BP Station and Carryout. The Loves Truckstop has a Wendys, Subway, and dog park. Sheets also has a food court. All within walking distance. Great location as Columbus is 30 min to the east, Dayton is 25 min to the west. 13 min to I 675 and 20 min to Interstate 75 N/S. I 71 N/S Columbus is 35 min away in downtown Columbus... NOTE: Little over a quarter of a mile off of Interstate 70, and on a State Route, If looking for absolute silence and desolation, this is not for you. Back off of the road but all the sounds carry.....

This is a small working hobby farm, near the site of a historic park-George Rogers. The 1/2 mile trails are flat and clean but may have limbs or tree nuts on the ground. We have chickens which provide fresh eggs as available if you are interested for a small fee, and split firewood that is very reasonably priced, purchase at arrival. We will have bonfires as weather permits, also you can rent a large private camp fire site just for the evening. Sites are wheel chair accessible, but the trails are earth, not paved. All sites are walk-in, not able to park cars next to the camp site. * Tents and Hammocks only, no trailers, pop-ups. Learn more about this land: Separated sites (you will not see your neighbor campers) for tents/hammocks, each has a fire ring, some sites have picnic tables most have spool tables. Sites can accommodate 1-2 tents, and/or 2-4 hammocks. Have a rally site where larger groups can tent camp together. Have private dirt hiking trails on site with many nearby county and state parks for more adventure. Canoe and kayak livery 1 mile away. Young’s dairy, Yellow Springs, 1800’s Carriage Hill a working Farm, Air Force Museum, Brandeberry Winery, and the Melody family restaurant are near. Have a port a potty on sight, parking is near the entrance to woods. Plenty of wood on the ground near sites, or can provide split wood for a small fee. More than 4 persons per site will be an additional fee $5-3 per person. Good Knights Reserve

Good Knights Reserve is located in Union County, Ohio just on the outskirts of Marysville. With a total of 60 acres, you'll have nothing but peace and privacy on the back 15 acres of the property. A 1/2 mile drivable path will take you to the one site currently offered. Here you can pitch your tent, build a campfire, catch and release a few fish from the pond, or choose to sit on the floating dock with your feet in the water. A shooting range for target practice is available or take a short walk through the wooded trail. The camp site sits next to a wooded wetland so you'll fall asleep to the sound of croaking frogs and various other creatures communicating back and forth. A clean porta-john is close by and a small charcoal grill and picnic table with seating for 8 is available. The Marysville Upground Reservoir is just 2.4 miles down the road for more outside activities. There's also a dog friendly winery and brewery 2 miles away. Marysville boasts 5 golf courses and has several quaint bakeries and boutiques in the uptown area. Come visit Union County and discover the unique history behind its 7 covered bridges then return to Good Knights Reserve for smores around the campfire and a peaceful night's sleep. Route 33 is easily accessible.
