My dogs and I absolutely loved this campsite. They never get to be off leash, as we live full time in our RV. They loved it! The site was secluded and clean and Nikki left a list of things to do in the area, which was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Picknik Place

Ideal location. Close to town, but feels like you’re ’out there’. Also a good distance from the permanent residents. I liked it! Had some issues with the solar power system but they did their best to try in a timely manner. Not a big deal for me. The driveway entrance is very easy to miss, especially in the dark! Even when you know about where it is. Some reflectors or lighting would be swell. ;)

Right off the highway, easy access, and accurate instructions. I'd recommend this to anyone passing through or staying around for a few days. We just needed a safe place to set up the trailer with the kids for one night as we passed through Bend, and this was perfect! The property is kind of dusty, which is normal for the area and not a bad thing, but it did make manouvering the trailer with our van a bit tricky. There is a gravel pad where we stayed on site 2 that was very nice and level for the trailer. The solar panels were a nice touch, but we didn't need to use them for our brief stay. The area is very quiet and private, and the kids loved to play on the swing and on the nearby rocks.

such a sweet and beautiful little space! dana and jeremy were very friendly; provided lots of information pre-check-in and made things as smooth as possible. the baby goats are a super adorable plus! so nice relaxing by the fire as the sun sets, listening to the trickle of the creek as you fall asleep. stars are UNREAL, made the little jaunt to the outhouse oooooh sooooo worth it! the bed is also SO comfortable (disclaimer: had been sleeping on a sleeping pad in a sleeping bag for a 1.5 weeks, but was STOKED that their bed was the first one i slept in again). and i learned a lot about garlic! got some inspiration for future garlic farming adventures...?!?!? we will definitely be coming back! thank you so much for hosting us :)

The site was really nice. There was some road noise, but it didn’t bother me at all. The outdoor shower was a nice treat and the site was well maintained. I would stay here again for sure. It would be fun to reserve both sites to share with friends.

This is a beautiful oasis in a gorgeous part of the Umpqua Forest! It is clean, cute and very well appointed. The hosts are welcoming and helpful. The sites are private-ish and well laid out. I have already planned my next trip!

Having your own private bathroom that is code protected is nice. The bathrooms have a great set-up with plenty of hooks and places to put your things. Some people leave their stuff behind however. I was there on a rainy weekend so it was pretty quiet. I got in several walks in between rain showers and found the grounds very nice. The campsite I utilized was a bit messy due to being under trees but that's life in the forest! I was able to eat my dinner on the picnic table provided. Overall, I recommend this place. Sidney, my contact person and greeter, was fabulous! She was friendly and opened gates for me and then took me to the bathrooms and made sure I had the codes sent to me in a text. She told me to text her any time if I had any questions or problems.

Nice full hookup site. There was not anyone in the other site, so we had the place to ourselves for the 4 nights we were there. We do a lot of boondocking, so having full hookups was a nice change of pace.

Very convenient location. Loved being surrounded by horses. Bonnie greeted me with 2 super friendly dogs. Great place to call home base while exploring the coast.

PLEASE NOTE: Use the property's elevated deck (maximum weight capacity: 350 lbs.) and gravel path to the river's edge at your own risk and with the utmost caution! Cornerstone Ranch is a beautiful 500 acre property on the Rogue River, and bordering the Pacific Ocean. The ranch offers campsites, as well as a yurt. Horses are welcome, as well pets. From the South GPS is very accurate to our driveway. Coming from the North, GPS may drop you at "Marchmont Farm". Keep driving about another 1/8th mile until you see the large "Cornerstone Ranch" sign. That is our driveway. The large Yurt Tent about a 20 foot oval. It is part of the Cornerstone Ranch Hip Camp family of sites on the Ranch totaling 7. In a very quiet part of the campgrounds and having a picnic table under a large pine. We have added 2 twin memory foam mattresses and two camping mattresses in the Yurt along with a few other things to make your stay comfortable while still enjoying the Ranch, Coast and the Rogue River and all it has to offer. The ranch also offers 6 different campsites. Campfires are allowed (outside of burn bans), and there is a toilet on site as well. Reviews from guests: "During the night we could hear Elk and the nearby nature! When we woke up we got to visit with the horses, use the really clean port-potty, and chat with Bonnie the Host! She has tons of recommendations, but our favorite was the Indian creek cafe across the river. The areas so great and clean and the host cares about her guests! Would recommend!"

RV space has 50 amp power, well water and RV sewer. Your own toilet is a must. Be prepared to “Pac-in, pack-out.” This is a protected wilderness area. There’s a mix of sun and shade. At approximately 2600 ft elevation, a fresh gentle breeze significantly cools the late afternoon and evening summer temperatures. Most cell service carriers do get reception at this location, however, there is no WIFI. This can be a pull-through-and-around area. A long RV/trailer may need to make a y turn. Short distance nature trails in the adjacent woodlands can be enjoyed in the immediate area. You will be alone in this no-frills spot. Just you and nature and your RV home.

Our facilities include an outdoor shower, a solar-powered composting toilet, fresh water, fire pits, and plenty of flat ground surrounded by trees for excellent camping! Please read this whole message so you are not surprised when you get here! Note: The use of the sauna, hot tub, and composting toilet are only for Glamp bookings! The campsites and tipi use the port-a-potty and have the use of an on-demand outdoor shower. Our home and farm is on two acres. Your tent site, is all in our ample acreage. Although pets are welcome, we expect them to be well-behaved around our two cats, our own big sweetie of a pup, Frejya, our two crazy goats Cupcake and Muffin, and our free-ranging chickens. Expect to hear some animal noises here on the farm. Our property literally borders the scenic highway. Because we are so close, you can hear the sunset-view-seeking drivers, motorcycle riders, and yes, racers who come out this way for a spin on one of the most scenic highways in the world. Expect to hear the dogs warning potential predators to stay away, especially at night. Our ranch is located less than 30 minutes from the picturesque and historic cities of Silverton, and Mount Angel. Nearby nature attractions include Silver Falls State Park, The Oregon Gardens, Champoeg Park, Feyrer Park and many more. To the north you can enjoy the scenic town of Estacada and its many nearby city, county and state parks for boating, hiking, fishing, and site seeing. Tom's Rest Canyon Retreat Center

Anyone having a grief, widows/widowers, caregiver, cancer, hospice or other group that would like to have their group listed should message us as well. These respite visits are short getaways to refuel and support individuals during tough times. Those that come to enjoy Tom's Rest will hopefully gain some needed respite. Most feel they are pretty much 'on their own' in this retreat area with the option for seclusion OR mingling if so desired. My deepest thanks to all who have stood alongside through this journey and continue to do so. The RV site itself is a back-in grassy spot, shaded by trees, with both water and electrical hook-ups. This is the perfect spot for those seeking a base camp to explore all that Central Oregon has to offer.
