    This area is known as Bigfoot Acres for obvious reasons. The Western Sasquatch has been spotted many times in the woods around this site. There are plenty of adventures to be had while out searching for the elusive Bigfoot. This property is located within walking distance of Mount Hood National Forest and within a fifteen minute drive of several lakes, rivers and even an Off Road vehicle area. All of our sites are "pull through" type sites and give you plenty of room to spread out. Each site has a fire pit to keep you warm while gazing at the amazing night sky. Even if you don't leave the property you will find plenty of things to do. Visit our pond (currently still under construction) to view wildlife, find a new trail, stargaze or just enjoy the peace and quiet. During the winter you can explore miles of backcountry roads on snowshoes or skies as we tend to be very near the snow line most of the winter. We look forward to providing you with the best camping experience possible!

    What a fantastic place to stay. We were greeted at the gate by Noah, who gave us all the information we needed to have a comfortable stay. (Including where we would find an excellent dinner, just a few minutes down the road.) The tent was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Restroom and shower were a very short walk. Plenty of parking and dog friendly. The other guests were quiet and respectful. Absolutely recommend this place to others.

    Our host was gracious, friendly, and very helpful. Made us feel very welcome! Very beautiful and safe property! Kid friendly, dog friendly and plenty of space for your dog to run around. I plan to visit again every time we are in the Portland area. It's a gated property and a very nice neighborhood. I repeat. Super safe! I had to go on an out-of-town trip and I needed to leave the motorhome there there while we looked at property. We were going to buy and I felt completely safe to leave it there unattended. Close to Portland. Close to everything you want to see... Lots of trails and close to many different sightseeing areas that you will love. Thanks for being awesome hosts! See you next time!

    It was a good experience, the tent was warm enough with a couple small space heaters to take the edge off the cool. Bathroom was clean and there was lots of hot water. It was a good experience, makes me think I might be able to do the same thing in Alaska where we live. Only will do it during the May through August time.

    We had a great time at this site! Hosts were communicative and helpful, sites were pretty spacious and included a solo stove and picnic table as well as a small privacy fence. BEST part hands down is the indoor skate park. Kids loved it and I can’t wait to come back in the Spring/Summer and explore the mountain biking trails.

The RV Garden Spot is situated by three gardens on our ranch: A heavenly scented and restful flower garden with hanging basket seats and swing; a peaceful rose garden with stream and fish pond complete with goldfish and koi; and a fruitful vegetable garden. RV View Spot has an amazing view right outside your door. It has lots of green grass for pets and children to run and play, or just sit in your lawn chair and enjoy the spectacular view. In fair weather, enjoy moseying through our 13 acres of century old oaks, swinging in antique tree swings with amazing views, and picnicking in our private park. This is a working ranch with goats and nearby cattle. Therefore, we have livestock guard dogs whose job it is to bark at coyotes and let them know that they are not welcome on our property. Expect to hear the dogs warning potential predators to stay away, especially at night. Our ranch is located less than 30 minutes from the picturesque and historic cities of Silverton, and Mount Angel. Nearby nature attractions include Silver Falls State Park, The Oregon Gardens, Champoeg Park, Feyrer Park and many more. To the north you can enjoy the scenic town of Estacada and its many nearby city, county and state parks for boating, hiking, fishing, and site seeing.     Once an old homestead. Learn more about this land:      Hello Hipcampers.  We do NOT sell firewood. Bring your own. Please read the whole description and understand the car/trailer length limits before booking.  32' (thirty-two feet)  means car and trailer, not just the trailer.   Smaller trailers like the teardrops or fifteen footers can be backed in easily, but if you're over 32 feet with vehicle the space to maneuver is too small.      Your camp site is under tall fir trees on fairly level ground. The site is next to a county road (see pictures), but traffic is very light. Next to your camp site is a 12x20 foot deck by a clear pond with beautiful trout and a running creek. A large picnic table is provided. It is a semi private location as the owners (us) also enjoy the pond and creek, and use the driveway. You can see the main house from the campsite but it's very quite.  There is absolutely NO fishing allowed in the pond!  The large trout in the pond are for your viewing enjoyment. 25cent fish food dispenser.      There is a clean privy; it's not fancy but it works and we use it when we're working outdoors.   We think you'll find it quite acceptable.  It's only a few yards from your camp site.      There is a fresh water spigot between the main house and the privy to fill water bottles or water for cooking.  Just lift the handle for water to flow.  Pour gray water in bushes away from the camp site.      Hipcampers ARE WELCOME to walk our big garden.  Simply walk past the privy, over the wooden bridge and through the white gate to see flower gardens, ponds, fruit trees, and berry bushes.   We love to share our space with you, however, we ask that you limit your garden walk to one time so that your walking experience is balanced with our desire for privacy. Keep gates closed and stay out of sheep paddocks.      Children:  This is a wonderful and fun place for children, but the waterwheel and ponds deserve your attention.  Keep children safely away from the waterwheel, and be next to them when viewing it.  You must be diligent if your children don't have experience with open water.  Please do not allow them to throw our landscaping rocks into the ponds as I have to dig them all out later.  For some reason kids love to throw rocks into ponds!  Just down the road only 100 yards, is a school playground with swings, basketball courts, tennis courts and a huge field to play on!  So bring your frisbee, soccer ball or any other field toys.      Don't leave food out at night!  That could attract unwanted furry visitors.  There is a healthy population of bear and cougar in this area.  These animals generally stay away from humans, but you should carry a horn or bear spray when hiking in the woods of the Columbia Gorge.        Go right to your camp site.  We may come greet you when you arrive if we're home, but then leave you alone to your own peace and quiet.       There is parking at the campsite for two vehicles side by side, or a car and trailer.   We may accommodate a third vehicle with prearrangement.      Camper Trailers:   The driveway is circular, so you can pull in at either entrance, get out  and take a look at how best to back your trailer into its spot.      Live music at your campsite is an experience we offer.  Great for kids!

    Cold Springs Farm

    Coming in at roughly 30 acres, Cold Springs Farm, established in 1915, sits nestled in its own little valley. A canyon running the north of the property in known for its wildlife population including bear, deer and elk. Our farms sits on an elk migration trail and, in April and October, we often see herds of 30 or more. The farm's namesake spring feeds a small pond that has crawdads, ducks and Blue Heron; of course, there are also curious raccoons about. We eventually intend to stock the pond with Rainbow Trout. Although we are a short 30-minutes to Portland, our private farm is free from unwanted lights and traffic, when the skies are clear starwatchers have many vantage points from which they can indulge their hobby! Our wide-open field is great for kite flying or frisbee; it's also a great place to practice your drone piloting skills. We also have paths in the tree line that you can hike and birdwatch or mountain bike. In August, you have access to pick as many blackberries as you want and trust me they delicious. Cold Springs Farm is also a sanctuary. Our current residents include our KuneKune oinkers; Chris P Bacon, Wilber, Pigit, Hamish McBiscuit and our newest member Rowdy. The resident goats include; Dolly, Freddy McNubbins, Princess Daisy Mae, Mikey, Mildred (Milly), Marvin the bottle baby, Dafne, Booger, Cyranose "Nose" and Delilah the resident therapy goat. Rounding out the bunch are our farm dogs, Oscar Braveheart, Hoppin' Howie and Lulubear. You can see their adventures on Instagram @worst.farmer.ever We look forward to welcoming to our Columbia River Gorge farm and introducing you to what our beautiful area has to offer. We are just minutes from many of the gorge waterfall hikes including the historic Multnomah falls and Vista House sitting on Crown Point. One Oregon's favorite summer concert venue, McMenamins Edgefield, is a short 10 miles. Concerts, wine tasting, and hiking within a short distance of the campsite, plus goat and pigs cuddles. It's memories in the making.

    A Visitors Haven

    We would love to share our beautiful wooded 8 acres. We live here but your site is far enough from our house for privacy. The RV pad is surrounded by trees. Our RV space will easily park a 38ft. RV. It has full hookups with either 30 amp or 50-amp power. You are only 2 miles from shopping and only miles from Lackamas Lake and Battleground Lake for hiking, swimming, biking, boating and fishing. Down the road about 1/4 mile is Velvet Acres barn where you can buy fresh produce in July, August and September, then in October it's a Pumpkin Patch. Be sure while you’re here you visit Vancouvers waterfront downtown. Great shops and excellent places to eat. On weekends there’s a large farmers market that has all kinds of fresh produce. While here be sure to drive out to the gorge, it is one of the more breathtaking sites in the NW. We are 10 miles from the Columbia River and 36 miles from Multnomah Falls. On a nice day you can drive to the beach to cool off, it's about 90 miles to Longbeach. Being in the wetlands we have a lot of trees for privacy. The RV area is at the end of an area that is gated for security. There is a grassy area outside your door and a grassy area out back of your RV. We have trails you are welcome to use. You will see bunnies and all kinds of birds as well as deer that visit now and then. Although they have built homes on the west side the fence and trees give plenty of privacy. They recently started a home that should be done within a month. Contact me for updates. This is a perfect place if visiting the area or it’s a great place for snowbirds or workers that are in this area for weeks or months. Text me ahead for openings.     The RV site backs up to Southwest Community Park, 41.9 acres, an undeveloped nature park in the Southwest Gresham Neighborhood (East Portland). The Park is partially wooded and slopes east towards 19 acres of Fairview Creek Headwaters. Views include Grant and Jenne Buttes and Mt. St. Helens. The Park contains a large Western Red Cedar/Mixed Tree Grove and a Douglas Fir Grove, both of which are identified on the City’s significant tree list. The Park provides valuable wildlife and fish habitat, and will be preserved, protected and enhanced as part of the City’s conservation effort. Learn more about this land: This is a great neighborhood spot to park with full amenities just outside of Portland, while having immediate access to 40 wooded acres with walking path and .7 mi to the Springwater Trail for biking/running. 25 mins to downtown Portland; Easy day trips that are ~30 minutes drive to Waterfalls along the Columbia River Gorge (Bridal Veil, Multnomah Falls) or under an hour to Mt. Hood for time in the snow!  Fenced in backyard for any of your 4-legged friends to stretch. Gas fire pit, gas grill and patio table + lounge chairs are all open for sharing. Our previous homeowner had a trailer and set up this nice pad with built in hookups. We have grandparents with a 27' RV that come visit a few weekends a year, but we would love to share this corner of the woods with others looking for an accessible home base to access Portland/Mt. Hood/Gorge +.  Note: Our driveway entry is steep, but navigable. We limit the trailer/RV length to 27' in order to avoid bottoming out. Novice trailer drivers may want to avoid.  For quick bearings if you are booking while on the road, we are located just off 26 (Powell), 5 miles from I-205 or 11 miles from I-5 via the Ross Island Bridge. If you are traveling along I-84, we are 4 miles south from the exit.
