Oh! Pear Orchards

Oh! Pear Orchards is nestled in the Endless Mountain Region in northeastern PA. Located on the fertile ground between two rivers, the orchard has several varieties of pears, including, but not limited to, Olympic Giants, Hosui, Bartlett, and 21st Century. In addition to selling Asian pears, Oh! Pear offers a look at a close-to-zero energy footprint. Within a half-hour of our campsites are the Merli-Sarnoski Park and the Lackawanna and Salt Springs State Parks--which offer hiking, fishing, and other outdoor activities. Endless Brewing and EMR Event (Paintball) Park are also located nearby. For a list of campsites, scroll further down! Although our check-in process is generally to go straight to camp, if we're onsite, we do offer the option of a meet and greet. While we respect the privacy of our Hipcampers, we also love to meet our Guests and are very conversant if you choose to grab our ear! If you forget something and we're on-site, let us know--we might just be able to help! For Holidays and Special Events, we do require a 2-night minimum stay, there will be a cost of $20 for each additional Hipcamper and we operate under a SUPER STRICT Cancellation policy. For non-Holiday/Special Event weekdays, we offer a 20% discount. We limit to what we believe suitable the number of Hipcampers at each of our campsites. If, however, you are interested in adding to the limit, please feel free to contact us beforehand. Campsites: -HANNAH'S HAVEN: This is our original campsite--which began our Oh! Pear camping legacy. The campsite is a short walk downhill from where you park (please refer to the short video provided, when booked, for more information) and it is remote. Rugged, majestic, and serene sites (3) are spatially set alongside the picturesque stream. Each site is outfitted with a Big Horn 47" Wood Burning Ranch Fire Pit (with grill grate), a picnic table and the potential for an outside adventure. Bounded on one side by an escarpment and on the other side a mountain, this campsite is irrevocably secluded--and has been voted the #1 Hipcamp site in PA and in the nation--as evidenced by the nearly perfect positive reviews from those adventurers who have stayed here.....and our many repeat Hipcampers. -LIAM'S LAIR: Surrounded by towering trees and dense foliage, Liam's Lair offers a sense of seclusion that is both rare and precious. Sunshine Ranch Camp

We're located on 17 acres with a beautiful creek running through the property. This is a single site, so you'll have the whole place to yourself. You can drive your vehicle to the site just by driving up the left side of the yard to the entrance of the main trail for about .25 miles. There is an open area the right of the driveway where you're welcome to park if you don't feel comfortable driving back there. Our property is surrounded by trees, ferns, and is extremely private. The campsite is right by the creek so you will hear the creek. I have a hammock by the creek. Lots of frogs, salamanders, and minnows. Lots of noise from the insects at night which is always nice. Stars are also nice at night. There is a red-tailed hawk and other cool birds that fly around the property frequently. The property has different hiking trails along the creek for you to explore. The purple trail will bring you along the creek with overlooking views of the waterfall and the creek. Your site will come with a firepit close to the creek. I will have bundles of wood for $10. There is also a bunch of sticks and logs by the fire pit and all over the woods that you are welcome to burn. Bring your pets! We're dog friendly and they can party off leash. This location is basically your own private state park. We are about 10-13 minutes from exit 12 and exit 4 on rt 80. We're very close to the Lakota Wolf Preserve where you can see wolves and coyotes. We're 15 minutes to the Delaware Water Gap. The Delaware Water Gap is a water gap on the border of the U.S. states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania where the Delaware River cuts through a large ridge of the Appalachian Mountains. We're also close to the Worthington State Forest, which has more than 6,400 acres for you to explore. We're also near Jenny Jump State Park. Van Campens Glenn, Tubing or kayaking down the Delaware river, Buttermilk Falls, Bushkill falls, Mt Tammany via red dot trail, Sunfish Pond, Dunfield Creek, Ghost Lake, Jenny Jump, Catfish Station Fire Tower, Swartswood Lake, white lake, Paulinskill river, are some recommendations. Locally, there's Blairstown Dairy, which has delicious homemade ice cream. There is also a grocery store (Acme) and restaurants nearby. Races Farmers Market is right down the street open everyday 9-6. Buckhill Brewery, Brook Hollow Winery, Alpine Butcher, and Blairstown Airport (Airport Cafe) are all less than 10 minutes away. This is also where Friday the 13th was filmed! Lots of wildlife. Please be mindful of your surroundings.

We also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the Hipcamp, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

We are a family owned campground nestled in the Appalachian Mountains, on the outskirts of the famous Poconos. We offer rustic tent sites and log cabins on nearly 400 acres. The property has been in our family since the late 1800's, initially operating as an ochre mill. We are near the historic town of Jim Thorpe, Whitewater Rafting Adventures, Hickory Run State Park, Lehigh Gorge State Park, Tuscarora State Park, and more. ***PLEASE READ BELOW AND READ EACH SITE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING*** PLEASE NOTE: - Our tent sites are rustic with NO electric or running water. Porta-Johns are available throughout the grounds. (Some sites are closer to port-a-johns than others.) We do not provide potable water or showers but we allow responsible use of the stream for cleaning. - FIREWOOD: Due to the threat of invasive pests, we do not allow firewood to be transported onto the grounds. We have firewood for sale for $7 per crate. You can pick and crate your wood at the wood pile on the grounds at your convenience. Nestled in the foothills of the New York Catskills 150 miles Northwest of New York City is a place called Paradise Falls. It was named many years ago and as soon as you arrive you will see why the name was chosen. It has been in our family for almost 100 years. You can still see remnants of the gristmill that use to operate there. Many great memories have been made at the Falls and we now want to share our slice of paradise with you. The rolling creek, a feeder searching for it's mama - the Delaware River - runs down the mountainside and over the rocks to give power and life to the falls. The steady flow makes you think you are far from civilization. But not really - only a short hike and you travel from the falls to a dirt road to a paved highway in a matter of a few minutes. Over thousands of years and a few hundred year floods nature has made this wonderful cave-like formation under and behind the waterfall. The flat rock is a great place to picnic and enjoy the tranquility of the water. The trees surrounding the area make a fitting canopy for this unique campsite. The mountain behind is great for climbing and a short walk down the creek will get you to the base of Jensons Ledges. The ledges are a steep hike up a mountain to a spectacular vista. Mountain Bliss

Discover a magical setting close to everything in the Catskills. This solo campsite is tucked into a private meadow pocket, bordered by a tumbling creek, woods, and my horse's favorite pasture, with views of the surrounding hillsides and the river valley leading to the Delaware River at Callicoon. Your accommodation includes a canvas tent on a platform with a queen-size air-mattress bed, a wood-burning stove, and two Adirondack chairs. A pop-up tent, that sleeps up to 6 persons, is available. We provide a large blanket and pillows with cases, but not sheets. Outside, there's a fire pit and a picnic table with benches. We supply fire-starters (kindling, newspaper, matches), but not firewood (available for purchase at a nearby market). Potable water is available in containers that are refilled upon request. The toilet is rustic. Our farm is home to herds of White-Tailed Deer, Wild Turkeys, Painted Turtles, Red-Tail Hawks, my Off-The-Track Thoroughbred horse, chickens, ducks, and Aslan, my Cocker Spaniel. Birdsong, frog song, the babbling creek, and the thundering hooves of Deva will serenade you to sleep. During your stay, you're welcome to hike, swim, and fish in the pond. Boating and fishing opportunities abound nearby, in the Delaware River or the famous fly-fishing creeks. Bethel Woods is a mere 20 minutes away. Other nearby activities include Farmers' Markets, breweries, farm-to-table restaurants, antique dealers, flea markets, art galleries, an Alpaca farm, golfing, horseback riding, and exploring numerous hiking trails. GREAT NEWS!!! As of April 5th, my long awaited 1st Glamping site is available for booking! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. We also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the Hipcamp, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

We are a family owned campground nestled in the Appalachian Mountains, on the outskirts of the famous Poconos. We offer rustic tent sites and log cabins on nearly 400 acres. The property has been in our family since the late 1800's, initially operating as an ochre mill. We are near the historic town of Jim Thorpe, Whitewater Rafting Adventures, Hickory Run State Park, Lehigh Gorge State Park, Tuscarora State Park, and more. ***PLEASE READ BELOW AND READ EACH SITE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING*** PLEASE NOTE: - Our tent sites are rustic with NO electric or running water. Porta-Johns are available throughout the grounds. (Some sites are closer to port-a-johns than others.) We do not provide potable water or showers but we allow responsible use of the stream for cleaning. - FIREWOOD: Due to the threat of invasive pests, we do not allow firewood to be transported onto the grounds. We have firewood for sale for $7 per crate. You can pick and crate your wood at the wood pile on the grounds at your convenience. Please bring cash if possible or get in touch at the end of your stay to pay via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle. -We have a variety of wildlife in the area, including BLACK BEARS. Please follow 'Leave No Trace' protocols and be mindful of trash and food throughout your stay. Keep your coolers in your vehicles and take garbage to the dumpster frequently. We have a dumpster available to you on the grounds. -Check in is contactless. Upon booking, you will receive directions to your site. -Only some of our sites are available here on Hipcamp. Nestled in the foothills of the New York Catskills 150 miles Northwest of New York City is a place called Paradise Falls. It was named many years ago and as soon as you arrive you will see why the name was chosen. It has been in our family for almost 100 years. You can still see remnants of the gristmill that use to operate there. Many great memories have been made at the Falls and we now want to share our slice of paradise with you. The rolling creek, a feeder searching for it's mama - the Delaware River - runs down the mountainside and over the rocks to give power and life to the falls. The steady flow makes you think you are far from civilization. But not really - only a short hike and you travel from the falls to a dirt road to a paved highway in a matter of a few minutes. Over thousands of years and a few hundred year floods nature has made this wonderful cave-like formation under and behind the waterfall. The flat rock is a great place to picnic and enjoy the tranquility of the water. The trees surrounding the area make a fitting canopy for this unique campsite. The mountain behind is great for climbing and a short walk down the creek will get you to the base of Jensons Ledges. The ledges are a steep hike up a mountain to a spectacular vista. Definitely worth the time and effort it takes to get there. Come visit our slice of paradise - you will be glad you did.
