Separate outdoor Electric 230v 30 amp service near my home for an RV and 115v available at all 3 camp sites. Wood fire pits at each site, wood available for purchase. There is sold ground for a small size camper or any size tent. Hot Tub and lookout tower are common areas for all to use. I am 25 minutes from Wellsboro PA and the Pa Grand Canyon with a 62 mile rail trail, bike and kayak rentals are 40 minutes away, one hour to Finger lakes, locally there is lots of hiking, fishing and exploring. 4 wheel drive maybe needed in winter for my driveway. If you would like someone to join you on an outdoor adventure when visiting, just ask, if my schedule is open I am always up for a hike, bike ride, kayak trip etc.

Camp Skipping Rock on Pine Creek

Welcome to our little slice of heaven along Pine Creek at the southern end of the "PA Grand Canyon". It is an outdoor lover's dream. The camp lies inside of Tiadaghton State Forest on the west side of Pine Creek in the Pennsylvania Wilds. The property is 5 acres, embedded deep in public land. On the property there is this one very large campsite (approx 100 square ft) for rent and our small cabin. If we are there at the same time as our guests, we share the outhouse and shower, but our guests have their own private picnic table, fire pit and grill on the far side of the property. The area is beautiful for paddling, floating, fishing, hiking, biking, rock skipping, dipping your toes, swimming hole gems, searching for waterfalls, writing retreats. There are hundreds of miles of hiking, mountain bike and ATV trails, and some of the best fishing and stargazing on the East Coast. There is a 62 mile -rails-to-trails that runs along the other side of Pine Creek from Wellsboro to Jersey Shore, PA. Our camp is located on a secluded hill - a relaxing oasis removed from the rest of the world - read a book in a hammock, build campfires, grill yummy food, let the kids run around like crazy, play a lot of cards. It a 2 minute walk from the property to public access to Pine Creek. It is a 45 minute drive to paddle the Western Branch of the Susquehanna near Lock Haven, PA.

Little Mahanoy Creek Campground

There are four campsites located in the gap of the little Mahanoy Mountain and line Mountain range along the little Mahanoy creek. All four campsites have creek access and come with picnic table garbage can and fire ring and Firewood is usually available. There are two Porta potty‘s one located at each end of the sites. There are trails for hiking which extends along a abandoned railroad bed and also up into State game lands and into the deep woods. The hiking in the woods is on an incline. But the hiking on the railroad bed is pretty unintense. There is parking at each site. The sites are spread out along the creek bed ranging from more of a rustic primitive tent camping on site 4 to an open site on site 1.

Elk Run Maples

A gorgeous property at the foot of a mountain with the Elk Run creek edging the back private area, provides hours of relaxation listen to the stream, fishing and wading in the creek. Huge maple trees where a maple sugar shack was once on the property provides a wooded area by the stream where you can set up a tent or sleep in hammocks and listen to the stream. We are renovating a barn into a large beautiful house will be available soon. We provide a picnic table, fire ring and fire wood. There could be two sites, one has electric and both have water. A charcoal filter is recommended. The circular driveway provides easy access. Toy hauler or horse trailers welcome. ATV can get in the DCNR connector trail right from the driveway. Hunters are welcome to hunt the many acres of public land in the area. Not permitted on our property. There is wildlife including bear, deer and Turkey we often see ducks, eagles, gross beaks, and cardinals just to name a few. This is the place to come to park you RV and retreat to the creek in back of property if you want time to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Greene Kitchen Farm

Greene Kitchen Farm has been farmed by the Greene family since 2013. If you step back in time a few owners, the Kitchen family with 8 boys and a girl farmed the land that surrounds the little tributary to Montour Run. The Greenes have been pasturing the majority of the land in nature's image with an eye toward biomimicry and an agro-forestal, savannah landscape. The herbivores pulse through the landscape with flocks of birds following them. Since the livestock have been fenced out of the creek, a little jewel of a wildlife refuge traverses the farm from northwest to southeast. This riparian zones shades the creek, protects the water quality, and provides great habitat for coyotes, minks, eagles, white-tailed deer, groundhogs, hawks, squirrels, woodcock, and a variety of songbirds.
