Weekend Trip to Creekside Brazos Rock Camp & Kayak

We enjoyed camping beside the creek and having the whole place to ourselves most of the time. I also appreciate that there’s a bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower! The water is cold, but after kayaking I didn’t really mind. The launch point was very difficult to manage, but that might be because the water was low. I loved the fact that a five minute paddle down the creek took us to the Brazos and a beautiful swim beach!

They made sure we had all the needed information about staying on their property, and asked us if we had any questions about the area. We stayed the weekend for a getaway from life and work. Such a calm and relaxing location. It was nice to lay in the hammock and watch the animals walk around. We enjoyed walks around the property with small trails to walk through. One of our best moments was sitting by the lake at night to star gaze, it was such a beautiful view of all the visible stars. Our 4 legged furry daughter really enjoyed laying on the top floor balcony of the dollhouse to enjoy the entire view. We had such an amazing weekend. Thank you Amy for being such an accommodating host. We will definitely 1000% be back!

This is a great location for a safe place to stay! It is very conveniently located near the centre of Fort Worth with some really great scenery along the way. We met Sam - he’s a great guy, very friendly and very accommodating. We only stayed the one night in our month long trip across America, but loved it. If only we had sites like this back home in Australia! Do yourself a favour and pick this great little hidden gem.

I had a wonderful time RV camping on Sunshine's land and found it hard to leave the peace and beauty of her place. If I could I would give her 6 stars for being so gracious, responsive, and generously accommodating. For example, she allowed me to settle in the most scenic campsite next to the creek while I had reserved a less scenic one closer to the road. She gave me great river intel and additional time to enjoy kayaking on the Brazos. The campground and restroom are clean and well maintained. The experience was exceptional! The location is superb given you are out in the country yet close to the town of Mineral Wells (8 miles) and the Lake Mineral Wells State Park, both of which I enjoyed visiting! However, It is the peace of the place I relished most. Thank you again, Sunshine!

Very beautiful place! Host gave us code after signed waiver and was able to enjoy a peaceful stay by the creek. Very communicative host and place in amazing condition. Bathroom exactly as pictured. Please don’t make a mess here so we can a further enjoy this gorgeous area. Be kind and respectful.

This small RV campground had everything I could possibly want. There was a huge open field to play in and throw the ball for Lucie. The sunset was gorgeous. The host, Gary was kind and informative. The neighbors were friendly. There were even cows to feed and horses to watch. The eclectic architecture and attractive decor kept me entertained for two days.
