RV camping near Lubbock guide

Overview

The "Hub City" of West Texas, Lubbock boasts both rock 'n' roll history―legendary singer Buddy Holly was born here―and outdoor adventures. Once you’ve checked out the Buddy Holly Center and the West Texas Walk of Fame, drive your RV over to Caprock Canyons State Park, where you can admire herds of free-roaming bison, explore an abandoned railroad, and hike more than 90 miles of trails. Further north, discover the second largest canyon in the US at Palo Duro Canyon State Park, one of Texas' most popular state parks. Both parks have spacious RV campsites with 30- and 50-amp hookups and pull-thru sites. Closer to the city, you can BYOB (bring your own boat) to the lakeside campground at Buffalo Springs Lake, camp out on a working ranch, or choose from more than a dozen RV parks with full hookups and amenities, just a short drive from downtown.
