Take your camper or RV to a fairytale forest in the Cle Elum area.
Situated in the southernmost part of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, the Cle Elum area is characterized by alpine lakes surrounded by dense swathes of evergreen forest, making it a great place for those wanting an RV vacation that's heavy on the scenery. There are plenty of RV parks and campgrounds along Interstate 90, both in and near Cle Elum, with more options still in the surrounding national forest. Just note that national forest campgrounds operate seasonally, generally from mid-May or June until September or October, depending on the elevation, and while many are reservable, a few—such as Icewater Creek Campground—operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Fortunately for RVers who want to explore Cle Elum outside of the busy summer months, private RV camping options are available at area Hipcamps, many with easy access to lakes and creeks.
