    The place has been farmland since about 1926. It became a family horse property with three pastures and now is a small lavender and blackberry farm. While it is limited to two RV sites, there may be farm visitors walking arond the area. Tall cedars and fir remain in the back of the property and provide for a forest experience. It is not a commercial campground. We are now turning it into a small lavender farm. About half of th original pasture is now covered in black ground mat and 3,000 newly planted lavender. Learn more about this land: One acre pasture for dry RV camping (no restroom facilities). There is a potable water/hose bib and an auxilliary 110 volt 15 amp AC connection via extension cord from barn. You should rely primarily on your own power. Walking trails are in cedar trees and on hill across 10 acres with flower fields and blackberry "farm". Free blackberry picking in season (August and Early September). Deer, racoons, foxes, bald eagles and occassional coyote on site. Keep food and trash secure. No toilet or sewer available. There is one portable "porta potty" type facility. Dry camping only, no camp fires allowed due to fire conditions. Pack out own trash/garbage. No Pets allowed. Only visible neighbors are three horses on neigboring 10 acre farm property. There is Wi-Fi. Beach access has been closed.

    Cardinal's Camp is an ideal spot for small RV's and campers to come and relax in a country setting. We have a gorgeous covered area and deck with propane mini BBQ and bench seating, full water and 30 amp power hook-ups, and beautiful views of the surrounding farm fields and a one hundred year old barn (PLEASE don't access the barn area or fields, it's not ours but the views are great!) Lots to do around the area, including Finnriver Cidery, hiking in the Olympic Mountains and the Victorian town of Port Townsend. We now have decent wifi you can use, so option to come and work remotely! (Unfortunately we don't have tons of space for kids or dogs to run around, but definitely plenty of nice grassy area to set up tents, yard games and a campfire). Our site includes wifi, picnic table, and potable water. Campfires (outside of a burn ban) and pets permitted! However we do have free-roaming chickens (ask us about fresh eggs!) so leashed up or chicken-friendly dogs please. Guests love staying here: "Gorgeous spot to sit, relax and take in the sunset across the farm fields before tucking in. We visited for one night with a 10.5’ tall camper van rented from Cabana, which fit easily under the shelter with plenty of clearance. The shelter itself is a great spot to get outside and eat a meal, and the rocking chairs in the yard were chill too! An occasional loud truck will go by on the nearby road, but not bad. We slept fine. Walk to Finnriver Cidery for dinner (yum)"

Bayview Alpacas is located on 10 privately-gated acres across the street from Padilla Bay, a National Estuarine Research Reserve. The Reserve protects one of the largest beds of eelgrass in the contiguous United States - nearly 8,000 acres. Habitats found here support herring, smelt, salmon, flatfish, Dungeness crab, ducks, eagles, shorebirds, and peregrine falcons. Mammals found in Padilla bay include harbor seals and river otters. Located in the northern reaches of greater Puget Sound, at the saltwater edge of the large delta of the Skagit River in the Salish Sea, the reserve is eight miles long and three miles across. The Padilla Bay Reserve is one of 29 areas in the National Estuarine Research Reserve System. The 11,966 acres-site is protected for long-term research, water quality monitoring, education, and coastal stewardship.

    A creek to your right and chickens to the left, this camp is out in the rural country side on a couple acres. The creek is beautiful and you'll hear it from camp. In November the salmon come up to spawn so you might hear them splashing. The Centennial Trial head is about a mile away where you will find a long railroad grade paved trail excellent for biking and walking. There are tons trails in the North Cascades up the Mt. Loop Rd outside of Granit Falls which is just 15 minutes north of camp. These are also hiking and mountain biking trails at Lords Hill Regional Park 15 min from camp or up the highway 2 corridor. Enjoy downtown Snohomish's restaurant scene and breweries, or head over to wine country in near-by Woodinville. This site can accommodate up to a 40' RV and there is plenty of room for tents too. There is water and a 50 amp outlet, plus a regular old 20 amp plug in. There is parking for up to 2 vehicles. Our home is about 50 yard away. We will be out tending to the chickens and building our garden space. Maybe riding bike around with the kids. Our dog puts on a guard dog act but really just wants you to throw a stick for him. Dogs are okay but they should be on a leash to keep them off the road and out of the chicken coop.

There is (1) sani-can unit (toilet) that is serviced monthly available for use, and a sink for handwashing and an additional fresh water supply. The metal trash bin next to the sani-can is for your use - please do not use any other trash cans in or outside of the barn as these are for events only. You will also find a wood firepit and chairs available for use right beside your site. Please bring your own wood to, or feel free to purchase wood through this listing. Also feel free to enjoy the covered seating area alongside the west side of the barn, overlooking the animals, gardens and expansive valley view! We are also situated less than a 10-minute drive away from an easily accessible dump station in Port Ludlow, on the way to the Hood Canal Bridge. Please understand that we are a working farm that hosts businesses and other visitors. You will most likely see us and perhaps other guests during your stay! Our home is further down the driveway (to the south of the barn) and we have land mates and an Airbnb unit attached to our house. You will likely hear the sounds of farm projects, animals and people at times. We also live off the busy Beaver Valley road, making us an ideal location for access to the greater Peninsula, but also please know that you may notice road noise at times during your stay with us. We are not in a remote area that is completely silent - we are a bustling farm in a happening place. If you are seeking somewhere very remote without a lot of noise, projects or people coming and going, our site is sadly not for you. This is just the reality of our situation and we always want to make sure our guests know what to expect. That said, this also makes for an exciting, immersive experience if you're looking to connect with the bustling farming and food culture in our region!     Kandi and Mark were great hosts! We enjoyed the farm tour and they offered our kids to help feed the animals in the morning. They were also great when we discovered a nail in our tire just before leaving, requiring us to run to a tire shop to get it fixed, delaying our departure. They were very understandable and easy to work with. We would highly recommend staying here and would come back again.

    Great spot! Very quiet and level, directions to get there were easy to follow. Only “complaint” was the rooster at 2am, but that was honestly a selling point for us! We loved the farm animals, grateful for the bathroom, and loved the location. Don’t miss stopping in Coupeville, one of the sweetest towns we’ve ever been to.

    Our stay at Dandelion Fuzzies Mini Farm on Hipcamp was amazing! The power worked great, and the water was clean. Our parking area was surrounded by privacy trees, giving us a sense of seclusion while still being immersed in open nature. We encountered the residents a couple of times, and they were all incredibly nice. The farm was well-kept, which added to the charm. Navigating our RV was straightforward; even with two cars in the lot, there was ample space to pull in and out effortlessly. Our only regret was not purchasing some of the fresh eggs before leaving. Highly recommend this spot!

    This was a perfect place for us to stay. The set up was great. We had a nice large area for our dogs to run in and we also had a covered patio area, fire pit, electrical hook up and access to water. Our 9 and 7 year old grandsons came for the day and loved feeding the goats and chickens. The hosts were very helpful and kind. We highly recommend this property and definitely hope to stay here again when we are in the area.

    End of the road. Start of an epic camping weekend. River to the side, Cascade foothill surround. Each site has river access except for lookers left which is not accessible due to the steep grade. All the siteshave nice sand for kids to play in. Close to the north cascades. Minutes from live music, bars and quality mexican restaurant. Rails to trail for bikes and walking. Tward the end of july the river starts to recede opening up more possibilities of having interaction with the river. That being said its crucial you keep an eye out on your kids. We had a guy out here who almost killed his kids multiple times underestimating the current. Watch out!!Kinda going for the peaceful, listen to the river and birds, vibe. Would rather there be no music and if there is then super low and off by 7. Sauna available April 1st

In downtown Mount Vernon you can walk the outdoor promenade along the Skagit River, get takeout from local restaurants and coffee shops, or visit unique downtown shops. Please note this is a working farm with working dogs protecting our livestock 24/7 and you may hear a few barks upon your arrival.     Come with your RV and camp on my property. It is a rural/farm area but very close to the cute town of Poulsbo. Relax with a pastureland view of big valley. Water and electricity are available (but no sewage). Big Valley is a popular biking area and there are some really nice hiking trails nearby.  Killer frisbee golf course across the street. New for 2024 is a gazebo with outdoor furniture and a propane fireplace. And a new picnic table located adjacent to the RV pad. In 2023 I installed a mesh WiFi system that gets good coverage at the site. Kick back and watch a movie on your laptop. Connection information is on the electric outlet adjacent to the site. In 2022 I had a gravel pad installed. I mention it as some of the older photos show folks needing levelers. Not the case anymore. I happily rent my pasture to J and W who come by in the morning and/or evening to check in on them. They have goats, alpacas, and piggies staying in my pasture.
