Opt for a Spokane cabin to ensure your comfort, no matter the season.
The biggest city in Eastern Washington—and the second-biggest city in the state—Spokane is a great base for exploring northeast Washington and the Idaho Panhandle nearby. While summers are usually hot and dry, ideal for camping, winters do get sub-freezing temperatures and snow, making a cabin rental a more viable option than pitching a tent. Cabins are available for rent in Riverside State Park on the edge of town, and each comes equipped with a kitchen, a restroom, a futon, and a bunk bed that can sleep two people on the bottom and one on top. These cabins require a two-night minimum stay and tend to book up months in advance. Fortunately, there are plenty of privately owned cabins and vacation rentals in and around the Spokane area, and many don't require minimum stays.
