Love this campground. Vincent was really helpful, upgraded me to a cabin when weather looked rough. Really beautiful area, right on the river. There is a nice communal sitting area and a communal fire pit. Lots of different types of sites, something for everyone.

The campground is nicely situated in a valley away from public eye. We were the only ones staying at the primitive tent site for two nights. The campsites are nicely nestled within tall trees that provide plenty of wood for the fire. The campground does offer firewood for a great price. Unfortunately we had brought our own wood, but there was also plenty of wood to forage for and we ended up leaving a nice pile for the next camper. Watch for small branchs and twigs falling. The wildlife viewing was pretty awesome and the night sky was great for stargazing. Dont forget to bring a hammok for your site. Highly recommend this location. PS, very clean toilet!!!!

Enjoyed the stay, clean, quiet place. Vincent was very welcoming, and definitely desires for people to have a fun relaxing time. We were there in late winter/early spring so didn't get to experience everything he has to offer, but planning on another stay for sure.

We loved our stay here! Vincent was an excellent host, very friendly and helpful! We enjoyed foraging for firewood and camping under a clear and beautiful starry night sky. Very peaceful. Would for sure recommend!

Brooklyn Heights Campground is a fantastic place to stay! The campground is well-maintained and very clean, making for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The host was amazing—friendly, welcoming, and attentive to guests’ needs. One thing to note is that it can get quite windy, so be prepared if you’re tent camping or setting up an awning. That said, the price was very fair for the quality of the facilities and hospitality. Overall, a great spot for a relaxing getaway!

The views here were outstanding, especially with all of the snow lately. The stars out here were incredible! The road was a little icy, but plowed before we got there. The heater was available for us and the propane tank open when we arrived. The walkway was shovelled as was the area around the fire pit. Very awesome spot for a winter getaway.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 winter nights in the Tipi. Plenty of space for 4 people and very warm. Campgrounds are beautiful and plenty to do in the area. Vincent has plenty of suggestions and is very organized. 10/10

Vince cares about his campground and those whocshare the space. Be amenities are coming in 2025, including a dump station. The drive in was beautiful but would have been an issue with someone driving out. Road was narrow but had pulloffs. We would go again.

For those seeking a rustic retreat, our 5 primitive shelter cabin sites feature cozy 10x12 lofted barn cabins, securely lockable with your padlock. RV adventurers are welcome too, with 10 picturesque near riverside spots (best suited for towed RVs up to 32 feet or drivable up to 35 feet). Four of these provide full electric and water hook-ups, while the other six offer a serene boon-docking experience. This beautiful 20 foot tent sits on a 24x20 platform giving you a 4foot porch to sit and listen to the sounds of nature. This tent is fully off the grid with a generator on site for back up power if you need it. We have power banks available to charge electronics. Queens size mattress with two additional sleeping bags. T-Mobile has the best service. AT&T and US Cellular 50-80% coverage. You must bring charging cords. We offer 5 gallon solar heated shower bags for the outdoor shower. Firewood bundles are stacked under the deck with roasting sticks. All lights are solar with a few battery operated ones. Extra batteries are on site. There is a grill and propane tank on site with grilling utensils, cutting board, and spices. Plates and silverware provided. We offer a cooler just bring your own ice! If you forget your shower accessories, don’t worry we have you covered. You will also find a 4 cup French press and water kettle. Bug spray and hand sanitizer on site! A propane heater is available upon request. Find us on social media @ OldeTymeCabins There is plenty of space to lay down some sleeping bags for the kids! We are less than a 1/4 mile from Maniac Mountain Haunted House, so you will hear the chainsaws, gun shots, and screams during the Sept-Nov time. We have 160 acres of wilderness you can explore. Be cautious of wildlife and look for WARNING signs. We have a private shooting range in the bottom fields of the property so you may hear gun shots April- September. The range is for our junior marksmanship program to practice for Nationals and local matches. For winter months Oct-April water supply will be limited. A propane buddy heater can be requested as well.
