This place is great. I was lucky enough to be there during a nice soft snow. Sitting inside of this place watching the snowfall was surreal. It’s a very comfortable place. Chas was great. Checked in on me as the temps dropped quite a bit over night. I actually got stranded from the snow as the interstate was closed and Chas was amazing during what could have been a stressful experience. I will definitely plan to be back.

We (Chase & Kylie) had a fantasic stay in our small camper! The spot was very clean and organized, the view was beautiful, and the bathroom with a view was the cherry on top! Our dog had plenty of room for a good game of fetch as well. We definitely will try to stay here again when/if we come through the area! The cabins seemed very nice, and may be what we do next!

You will not find a more peaceful stay, better view, and more hospitable hosts than at the Blue Moon Cabin! Every detail of the cabin is well thought out for the comfort of guests. Our favs? A warm fire in the evening, windows facing a canyon in Medicine Bow, the convenience of indoor bathroom facilities, privacy even in the outdoor space complete with Adirondack chairs & gas fire pit. We arrived back home completely rested and ready for the work week ahead.

The Blue moon Cabin was amazing! Chas met us at the cabin to get us oriented and off to the right foot. The cabin was a perfect balance of excellent views, seclusion, and access to recreation while providing a warm soft place for the three kids to sleep. Chas also went out of his way to show us where the best hiking was for the kids! They are already asking to go back!

This was our second stay at Buford Canyon. It’s so beautiful. We love dry camping here. My kids tell me that I need to plan more than just an overnight. I do want to hike and explore more. We will be back.

Love the cabin and the property. Hosts were so friendly and helpful. We were right next to state land that was great for taking our dogs on a walk. We will be coming back again.

The view at this place is incredible, even better if you take a hike into the valley itself. Chas and his wife built an amazing cozy cabin getaway that's perfect for a night or several. Will think of this place whenever going through Wyoming.

Beautiful cabin 🛖 Breathtaking views 🌄 Simply poetic👁👄👁 10/10 As for the host, (Chas) he deserves a 100/10!! He was very responsive, welcoming, and helped us with a few minor issues we had such as re-igniting the heater and even offered to charge my speakers at his own cabin. Recommend💯

This place is magic. This is our third time staying at the site, first time in this cabin. Everything was picture perfect, Chas and his wife are incredibly welcoming. Excited to come back for years to come.

My stay was absolutely perfect!! So much thought and love was put into the making of the Blue Moon Cabin and you can tell. I had a very nice stay and would love to come back. 100/10 would recommend and I already have to loved ones.

I love this place! You cannot beat waking up to the view. Chas is also a wonderful host and it’s located conveniently between Cheyenne and Laramie. Can’t wait to visit again!

2 nights at Buford Canyon

Chas is an attentive host. The property and cabin are beautiful.

This was our second visit to this amazing cabin and the view was spectacular with snow starting to fall. We love this slice of Heaven with so much room to roam outside. There is a lot to see and hiking is always fun (weather permitting). Chas is an amazing host. He and his wife have truly thought of anything you could need to make your stay enjoyable. The dogs had a blast as well. Thank you again for letting us stay at your cabin. We will be back.

3 nights at Buford Canyon

My wife and I had a great time at Blue Moon Cabin. The hosts really went the extra mile to make it cozy, even when it was 8 degrees outside (wind chill down to -6!). The view out the window is amazing. I absolutely recommend this place for a winter getaway!

This was an amazing Hipcamp and wonderful stay with awesome views. I was camping in my rooftop tent throughout the Midwest and had a work issue pop up. Given the temperatures outside, I didn’t want to work late into the night in 0° weather so I booked the larger cabin. Hosts were amazing and the site was as described. It was very clean, had great views, and the cabin itself was great. It was warm, cozy, and the views in the morning were certainly good to wake up to! My tires also lost a few ponds of air overnight in the cold and the host used their compressor to fill them back up before hitting the road. Definitely a place we will return to!

Beautiful cabin! Exceeded expectations. The surrounding area is full of forest, rocks and wildlife. Perfect for hiking. I recommend visiting Curt Gowdy State Park which is close by and has great hiking and lakes.
