It was a cozy and overall amazing experience. Ed was very welcoming and helpful. Our dogs loved running around in the snow. It was a huge plus that Ed let us use their snowshoes! We are already thinking of our next trip here.

Exactly what you need it to be!
Wow! This is the kind of spot that hipcamp was made for. Delightful and cozy with plenty of land to walk on, plenty of wood for the stove to keep cozy, the most clean and welcoming portapotty you’ve ever seen in your life…near a cute little town to boot! I was even treated to some homemade peanut brittle that made me a big hit back home.
I stopped here on my trip back to Minnesota for Christmas, and I’m so glad I did! The hosts were incredibly flexible and understanding and made sure I was properly settled when I got in.
Absolutely worth the 2 hour detour for me and I hope to return sometime!

Great Stay
Excellent stay, a really wonderful space to escape for a weekend. Close enough to town if you need to make a run, but secluded and very private.

Cozy Paradise
With pets ·
Ed’s cabin really is a little paradise tucked away in the woods. From the cozy wood burning stove, to the sprawling trails it’s a perfect off the grid getaway if you want some peace and quiet. Ed himself was super nice, and greeted us on our way in, gave us a tour of the cabin and instructions on how to work everything, and saw us off on our way out! Couldn’t picture a better weekend, thanks Ed.
