77 acres of rolling hills along the headwaters of Haley's Creek with a 1 m waterfall into a 4-ft deep pool and beautiful hardwood and pine forest all around. A Rustic road courses along with the creek and several offshoots for mountain biking or hiking. The waterfall and pool are a 1/2 mile hike into the property on the primitive road. Gravel is only provided at the entrance area, encircling the metal shed. Any driving off the gravel runs a risk of getting stuck in the slippery clay/mud. Rainwater barrels and 110 electricity are available at the metal shed. See dozens of tree species old and young along the creek and wildlife including turkeys, deer, bobcat, raccoons, possums, hawks, rabbits etc.Just two miles off Interstate 55, pull in to graveled parking sites along a 40 ft metal shed with 110 outlets available outside and a back porch looking out on 80 acres of mixed forest and hills along the head waters of Haley's Creek. Trails and old logging roads give easy access by foot or bicycle to a half mile along the creek, ending with a 3 foot waterfall into a chest deep pool. Driving off the gravel is risky since the clay ground is very slippery when wet. I recommend parking your vehicle ONLY on the gravel, if it rains you may not be able to drive out. A rustic pit outhouse and trash can are near the shed. Collected rain water, some natural springs and the creek itself are good for old school bathing and chilling on hot days. The creek itself is a beautiful hike, flowing in a gorge 8 feet below the ground level with sand and clay shelves and cool spring fed water all year round.

Very difficult to turn around, the property needed to be taken care as far as weeds.

The spot was perfect. Behind a locked gate. I felt safe as a single traveler.

Great spot - very private. Heavy rains while I was there so didn't get to explore but hope to next time.

This is a diamond in the rough. It is minimal but safe and secure for any nature lover. I loved the privacy and the whole woods was ours to explore.

Pure beautiful nature!!

1st Hip coamp booking experience! Myself and 13yr old twins and our pointer dog are avid OFF GRID ADVENTURES!! We hiked in, through the stream with hiking bags ALL GEAR on our backs to the beautiful waterfall on 77 plus acres of peaceful nature! Slept in a hammock under the stars, listening to the sounds of the waterfall and stream! All the family, including the Fur babies, enjoyed the weekend.
Only recommendation is if you're not custom to rough awesome terrain, like walking through a uncut stream. Take the short 8 minute walk down the path to the waterfall.
He offers electricity, and a secured locked gate once on property. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
