Step away from it all on Wellesley Island in the Saint Lawrence River in the Thousand Islands region. Set off from the park's docks to explore the river and Lake of the Isles by boat. Bring your pole for recreational fishing any time of year, even when there's ice.
Picnic on the rocky beaches, tables, pavilions or the gazebo. Cook up a burger or steak at one of the barbecue grills. The small park is dog-friendly as long as your canine pal is licensed and leashed.
Dewolf Point offers a range of camping options. A colony of 14 cabins delivers a home-away-from-home experience for up to four people.
Car camping is limited to vehicles under 20 feet at 13 sites with a max of six people. A single walk-in site is perfect for bikers or paddlers. RV'ers can find camping at the nearby Wellesley Island State Campground.
