Gordonia-Alatamaha State Park Campground

The Gordonia-Alatamaha State Park Campground is a southeast Georgia favorite for picnicking, family reunions, and golf! Rent paddle boats and fishing boats at the lake, and try to see how many beaver dams you can spot from the observation deck. If tent camping isn’t what you’re feeling, five rental cottages along the golf course are available and come equipped with screened-in porches, fireplaces, and televisions. The tree for which the park is named, the rare Gordonia, was last documented in the wild in 1803! Fortunately a great time here is a lot easier to find than that.
