I love staying at the campground at McCormick's Creek. It's always well maintained and very clean. The campground offers electric, primitive, and youth camping sites. We always stay in the electric loops, and the sites can be very private during summer and fall when the trees and shrubs have leaves and create more of a barrier between campsites, which we like. The trails at McCormick's are easy to moderate and are very enjoyable to hike year-round. Trails at the campground connect to a playground and pool in the park. This campground is close to home for me, and it's one of my favorite places to camp in Indiana.

Great place to take the family, with several hiking paths that are easy enough for small children.

Camped there for 4th of July weekend. We were at the primitive site 218. The sites in the primitive area are all gravel (our kids brought scooters but unfortunately couldn't ride them). Some of the sites on the interior are close together but ours was nice and private. I loved the trails! We went thru Wolf Cave and the falls. I can't wait to go back!

Stayed there 2 weekends ago. It's Indiana's first state park & it's 100 years old! The campground is well established. The interior sites are very close to each other. Some of the peripheral sites are also. We were at site 22 & had site 21's tent right behind our trailer. Watch out for pit toilets & dumpsters.
The trails are OK. 2 rated strenuous, trail 3 & 10. Most are just strolls through the woods. Wolf Cave is on trail 5. Kind of fun to go through if you don't mind getting your clothes dirty. The waterfall is on trail 3. Trail 7 takes you above the canyon & loops around towards the White River. We saw a bald eagle there.
There's many picnic areas & shelters. Good for a weekend I'd say.
