Across the street you will find old-fashioned home cooking at the K 18 Café. The convenience store across the street has groceries, charcoal, ice, a mechanic spot, pizza, wings, and a sub shop.

Great place and cute little town
It was nice ! We had an open field .traffic wasn’t bad at all . Stayed on a Friday night. Directions could have been clearer. Since we had to call her to ask where exactly are we supposed to set up. But other than that it was quiet . I Would recommend. No electricity , water or restroom.

We enjoyed our overnighter to break up a long trip. Simply an open field just off the highway. Quiet after 10 PM. Would stop there again.

I loved van camping on the large grassy Rubicon area, very peaceful. Super convenient for my trans Kansas drive.

Cozy, but Noisier Than Expected
The cabins seem nice from the outside, and Lucas is a friendly and artistically unique little town. However, the location is not ideal for camping. I stayed on a Saturday night, and traffic noise kept me up much later than expected. Then I was woken up again around 1:30 (probably when the bars closed) by a house party playing very loud music. Obviously this is all beyond the control of the Set in Stone management, but I would still recommend going for a cabin if you want to stay there.

Probably more of a summer site because the row crops would help dampen the road noise but it was great
