Goose Flats Campground provides private shoreside campsite, and unobstructed views of the calm and endless blue waters of Webster Reservoir.

Primitive sites offer electric hookups and easy access to sportfishing, windsurfing, boating, swimming beaches, wildlife viewing, and a hiking trail. If you’re up for a little drive, about 10 miles west of the park, check out the Nicodemus National Historic Site, a preservation of the only remaining western town established by African Americans during the Reconstruction Period of the Civil War!

Kirwin National Wildlife Refuge was the first national wildlife refuge established in Kansas. The Refuge encompasses 10,778 acres and includes prairie grasslands, open water, shoreline, wetlands, and wooded areas. Kirwin National Wildlife Refuge is known for the return of migrating birds and bird courtship rituals in the spring and fall migration of thousands of migrating birds. The Refuge is in the Central Flyway, a major travel corridor for migratory birds. It is also home to many wildflowers, plants, fish, and wildlife species that live here all year round. Kirwin Reservoir covers approximately 5,000 acres of surface area. The reservoir is fed by both the North Fork Solomon River and Bow Creek. Kirwin offers outstanding fishing opportunities for crappie, walleye, white bass/wiper, largemouth bass and catfish. Check KDWP website for seasons and limits.

However, a guest can bring their own extension cord and garden hose to hook up if needed. We can provide if needed as well. No shower for camping. There is a two car garage that can be used for internal use of the guest but no parking. Price for dry camping (no hookups) is $20 per night and $35 for electric and water usage.
