What a beautiful spot! Had a great experience camping at Hood Lodge. Christine and her husband were very kind and welcoming. We had a ~5-10min walk to our spot camping by the bluffs (as seen in the picture), but Christine lent us a wagon to help transport our gear and we could have chosen an area closer to our car if we weren’t up for the walk. Christine was also very helpful with recommendations for natural areas nearby, and we had a fun time exploring the waterfalls and lakes a short drive away. Overall a great experience, I highly recommend!

Camping at the overhang
My son and I had a great time camping. It was a small hike in the woods but well worth it to camp by the overhang. It offered a fabulous view and a small creek perfect for rinsing off dishes and for getting water to douse the fire before going to sleep. Also, during the hottest part of the day I just put my camping chair under the overhang and instantly had a cool shaded place to get a break from the heat.

Nice Camp!
I loved camping at the Hood Lodge! Very quiet and peaceful with lots of sticks to make a campfire. The hosts were very welcoming and definitely recommend to anyone who likes more of a primitive camp.

I enjoyed camping at the tent site at hood lodge. I was a little disappointed when I was greeted by someone renting out the property as opposed to the owner so I had to find the site and water spicket on my own but I managed. The tent site is very quiet and peaceful with a beautiful rock wall and tree line. Firewood was laying out when I got there which was very nice. The hike to the site isn’t that far, but it can be if you're carrying a ton of stuff so I would recommend packing light. Stayed pretty hot at night but I guess that’s to be expected in early august. All around great experience!

this is the one!!
as a last minute booking, this sweet couple was so accommodating to make sure I had a comfortable camping experience. I had great sleep with the frogs and light rain. the property is beautiful with trails around, tall floral grass with a pond and fire pit in the works. I will be back one day :)

Camping in untouched nature
Joe greeted us warmly and helped us carry our belongings to the campsite, which deserves praise. The campsite offers tranquility and silence in untouched nature, and I highly recommend visiting it.
