Parksland Retreat offers a welcoming and serene camping experience, ideal for those looking to connect with nature. The hosts, Dustin and Emily, are frequently praised for their hospitality and have clearly made efforts to create a comfortable and inviting environment. Visitors appreciate the beautiful natural setting, with access to scenic hikes, a swimming hole, and unique amenities like saunas and rain showers. The site is noted for its privacy and the chance for guests to enjoy the outdoors without feeling crowded.
My partner and I enjoyed Parksland so much! It was my second time staying, and it was just as magical as the first. Our site was secluded and right next to a flowing creek. Dustin was a kind and accommodating host. We will definitely be back!!
My experience at Parksland was so good! I really liked how our campsites were spaced out while still being able to socialize with other campers as you pleased!
My campsite was on the creekside, which was very soothing to hear the stream of flowing water.
If you are looking for a place to camp and do some hiking, this is the place for you! I would highly recommend.
I had an excellent primitive spot in the creek bend, and could hear riffles all evening. This site is ideal for both a two person tent on very flat, sandy ground and to hang a hammock. Saturday was sauna night, which is in an excellent space. I completely understand why you can only bring kiln dried firewood on property. I chose to purchase from them and that wood burned absolutely perfect. That was a very pleasant surprise.
This place does NOT suck! ;-)
100/10 recommend you stay here if you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere to meet new people and find your inner peace. You can even take a short hike to the Blue Hole and do some cliff jumping or just relax by the waterfall! We borrowed some of the Parksland towels to dry off after a quick dip in the icy waters above the falls.
Dustin and Emily were so welcoming and most gracious hosts. We got to experience the new hot tub and wood fire sauna which were all made by Dustin. And I mean it when I say it was the best sauna I have ever been in. And don’t skip the glorious Rain Showers in the Herb shower. ❤️ The whole Parksland space offers you opportunities to explore nature with or without your clothes. For me, that was the best part and really makes this place stand out! Nothing but mutual respect for everyone in the space.
I think this is my new favorite spot in Alabama!
Absolutely love Parksland Resort. We had a great time. The grounds are beautiful (even after a cold snap in January). The bell tent that we stayed in was absolutely wonderful and surprisingly warm with the propane heater running. We had a blast cooking on the wood stove inside and also on the solo stove outside. Wonderful experience and we'll definitely be back!
Also, happy belated birthday, Dustin! Thank you :)
