Collin’s Wood is a very special place indeed. The land was bought by my grandfather years ago when he moved to Canada from England and wanted to chase his log cabin dream. Our main cabin my family built from trees on the land, entirely by hand. We have photos of the trees being cut and the bark being peeled off. Since then, we’ve made many changes out there, we now have a guest cabin that used to be a Teacheridge (back when teachers would live in a one room building beside the school), eventually it was turned into a cafe and now it sits on our land as a guest cabin. This place is so magical. With a quarter section of land I grew up running through the forest with my friends and learning about what the land has to offer. My parents have spent every spare weekend out there making this paradise into what it is today. All the buildings were created by my family through labour and love. We’ve hosted weddings, and family reunions. We hope you appreciate how special this place is. Come see for yourself!
What a wonderful welcoming space! My son and I had a lovely time chilling at the treehouse, exploring the forest and watching shooting stars on the forest couch! I also really loved the outdoor bath - what a view! Can’t recommend enough.
Loved loved . It is a rustic type of glamping at the tree house , everything is provided . Only need clothes and food . The diffrent sites are rustic aswell and ohh so charming !
Great host . Will do this again with my adult daughter next year too .
The MOST amazing stay we had this year! We were both welcomed and our treehouse were all equipped with all the basic needs and everything is neat and just perfectly splendid! I will definitely recommend this place! Thank you Geri and Pat for the awesome weekend getaway! 🤩
This visit we stayed in the Treehouse for two nights and then the Yurt for two nights. As usual we loved our experience.
The Yurt was a new experience. It was a lovely experience. My grandson and I and my dog Kali loved it.
We have enjoyed each time we’ve stayed. Can’t wait until our next visit.
Our hosts were wonderful as usual.
Out favourite place. 😀💕💕
We returned to collinswood retreat just last weekend and it was nothing short of magical. This year we opted to try their new beautiful yurt and we were not disappointed. The yurt is tucked up into the lush trees, wagon in tow you follow the beautiful groomed path to your quiet sanctuary. Beautiful set up on a deck with large fenced living space to enjoy with everything you need for the perfect peaceful getaway!! The yurt is large but still so cozy with so many pillows, chairs couch and a huge bed. Total privacy surrounds you during your stay but the sauna and outdoor bath is just a short walk away. We loved our stay and will for sure be going back this fall and many more times in the future. Geri and Pat are wonderful host and always make sure you have everything for your stay, with kind and welcoming smiles. We really recommend any of their wonderful spots to stay!!
