Camping at this site offers stunning views surrounded by wildflowers and stars, perfect for those looking for a serene getaway. While the location itself is idyllic, the primitive toilet facilities have been a point of contention for many, with several reviews highlighting their subpar condition. The site's proximity to the road means occasional noise, but privacy is generally maintained. Visitors appreciated the remote, peaceful setting but noted the need for self-sufficiency due to its isolation.
Cute little camping spot! Would’ve loved to stay another day :). For our first time camping this was perfect. Amazing sunset, loved hearing the birds chirp, and having other campers nearby was comforting.
The area is full of wonderful sounds of birds, frogs, and crickets. It’s very close to Soda Lake but a bit too close to the road. Luckily, the rain kept the dust under control. We had to leave early due to weather conditions.
Wonderful host, very welcoming and good communication. Great location too! Near Soda Lake and Wallace Creek trail. Loved that we had the whole place (area around the cabin) to ourselves - very private & easy to find.
We loved how remote it was. The proximity to the national monument and soda lake was a plus, but for us we mostly wanted quiet, beautiful, and after sunset: darkness. And that’s exactly what we got. We loved watching our dog sit and watch the gophers (I think) pop up and then scurry back under into their burrows.
