There are many things to love. The view on the Perch is spectacular, wide open yet secret and intimate. The restaurant/bar down the hill has some fun music and is a good place to hang out. The location is just minutes away from Julian so we can hop into town when we want. We love it, our dogs love it. We will come back when we need to escape just for a couple of nights.

The place is very well kept and we enjoyed being away the peace of being away from the city for a bit. We loved the view at the top of the short hike and how clean everything was. This was a first time camping at the Hideout but definitely won’t be the last.

2 nights at Cole Ranch

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Cole campsite. The location is spacious and you are able to setup camp just above the water if you like. We had access to a multitude of outdoor equipment including canoes for single or multi person, along with life jackets that were all included. The campsite also allowed campfires which is a must for our family that really enjoys smores. We didn't catch any fish this trip but we did see other campers make catches. We will definitely be back and better prepared to catch some. Barry and his wife were the perfect hosts and were always available if needed.

A hidden gem for sure! Beautiful views, clean facilities (with showers), full hook-ups, and friendly staff. The location is amazing, steps from the beach. The convenience store is cute and has variety of snacks, food, and drinks. Definitely would come back!

1 night at Joshua Tree Lake RV & Campground

The host (we checked in with a lady) she’s really nice and welcoming. Since there were different free lot she told us to take another spot with more shade. We appreciated. We stayed just one night but the bathroom and shower were clean, hot water and I liked the little lake with ducks and squirrels. I recommend this place 😊 price and quality was good too!

Shelter Cove was beautiful. We really enjoyed our time there. Make sure your vehicle has good brakes! Worth the drive!

2 nights at Trailer Lane Campground

This site was a gem! With a view of Mt Shasta, the campground is quiet and serene. With lake Shastina just a few minutes away, there are plenty of things to do, including hiking and a 15 min drive to see the waterfalls. The rv site is fully prepped and there is a market on the property with fresh eggs, rv supplies, firewood, etc. etc. Our two kids 7 & 11 loved the farm animals and spent hours walking on the property and enjoying the outdoors. The campground is safe and clean, and the owners are very welcoming. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Dawn and her son were excellent hosts. Communicated well and responded quickly when we had questions. This was an excellent spot to stay, We had tents and stayed at the Oak Grove which is next to the barn. There is a firepit and plenty of chairs. There is one outlet to charge your electronics if you have them. Ping pong was fun and there is corn hole too. The shower is an on-demand and worked well (there were six of us). If you have the option of having the barn door open then that is a huge plus.

1 night at Ramblin' Redwoods Campground

This was a great Hipcamp close to the Redwood National Park! Very quiet and peaceful with one of the best campground bathrooms i’ve seen.

3 nights at Joshua Tree Lake RV & Campground

We absolutely loved this place! The pond is SO cute with SO many animals all around (ducks, fish, turtles, all kinds of birds, even egrets!) The tent sites were a great size and we enjoyed using the grill up by the office and having a sink for washing dishes. Really appreciated all the red lights they use, great for seeing the sky! It was also a great location, far enough away from the city but still close enough to the park and store! The staff was all amazing and even the showers while they are renovating are nice and definitely hot!!! Would definitely stay again!

I can highly recommend this location. I am in a Class B van. I snagged an ocean view spot. They put the work in to get the sites nice and level, so I didn't even have to use blocks at all. Spent three days working from the van and in the afternoons exploring the beaches and hills. I even took my first surfing lesson. Staff are kind and helpful. Laundry, bathroom, and showers are clean. Had good friendly interactions with other campers.

Visiting dogs that socialize well with other dogs are welcome by us and by Molly and Taz as well, but please be honest with yourself and us about your dog's temperament, and book elsewhere if there is ANY chance of canine conflict with our very energetic pups. Also, Molly does not trust very small children (we think there was an incident), so if you have small children, we ask that you keep them from interacting with our Heelers.

Welcome to southern Santa Cruz County, home of some of the longest and most beautiful beaches in central California. We are located in La Selva Beach, an eight-minute walk to Manresa State Beach. We are a small, working farm with vegetable and flower gardens, chickens and bees. There are many excellent places nearby to hike, walk, surf, swim, tide pool or just sit and enjoy the view. We offer three campsites, two have fantastic, unobstructed views of the three hundred acres of strawberry fields that back up to our property. Our campsites provide water and electric hookups and are only appropriate for self-contained recreational vehicles and trailers. One of the sites has no size constraints on RVs or trailers. We have plenty of room for a second vehicle. We do offer a port-a potty, but not sinks or showers. We do not accommodate on the ground tent camping or in your car camping. The Valley View site is very quiet as it is farthest from the road, and is the most private. The Gateway site is near the road and does not have a view of the strawberry fields, but guests who are just looking for a quick stop over or base camp love it. The Strawberry and Surf site has no size restrictions and it backs up to San Andreas Rd. All site are walking distance to Manresa State Beach. We love to host guests and will provide information about things to do and see in our area. We often loan our State Parks pass so that you can venture out to Point Lobos, Wilder Ranch, Sunset Beach, Natural Bridges and more. Each camp site includes a fire pit and a generous wagon of wood. Two camp chairs and a picnic table are included as well. We also offer farm fresh eggs, baked goods and other treats (see our Extras). We are 15 minutes from the village of Capitola, 30 minutes from downtown Santa Cruz and 45 minutes to Monterey. There is a Dump station 5 minutes down the road at the KOA (for a fee).

We prefer to use products that are produced in a sustainable way and avoid those that aren't. We are continuously reducing the amount of waste we generate and actively promote recycling of aluminum, plastic, glass, and cardboard. We pack our own recycling and haul it to the nearest recycling facility which is an hour away. We co-opt the drive with other activities to reduce waste. We don’t use individually packaged toiletries or one-use products. We use plant and planet friendly detergent. We're based in a desert. We share our precious water with the entire planet. With only 326 million cubic miles of water on the earth, the decreasing amounts of access to quality fresh water is alarming to us. We monitor how we use water in our day-to-day activities and are constantly working on ways to reduce our consumption of fresh-water resources. We hope you can help us maintain this greener camping! Pet Policy All our RV & Tent sites are pet friendly and we allow up to two dogs per reservation for a small fee. We can also accommodate up to two four-legged campers in our pet-friendly Baja or Tatra trailers for a small fee, we ask that they stay off the furniture (beds, sofas etc.) and are not left in the rental unattended. We love dogs, but sadly won’t be able to accommodate heavily shedding pets that aren’t house trained. Additionally, our insurance will not allow "aggressive breeds" that include any mix of: Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Doberman, German Sheppard. Klamath’s best kept secret

We have been a family owned RV Park/Campground for over 40 years. This is a very rustic, old-fashioned campground located at the end of a neighborhood next to the river. We are adjacent to tribal lands. We are not responsible for their culture or their practices. FYI: this is part of the Northwest coastal Pacific rainforest. Emphasis on rainforest so before you book or before you’re coming, just check the weather. I would also like to say we are bee friendly. We don’t use pesticides and poison is not allowed to be used on the property. So if you see patches of flowers which some people would call weeds like oxy daisies and maybe even some dandelions it is for the bees because they have such a short season here on the coast that I try to make food available for them. As mentioned this is also a RV Park so there will be RVs on site. It is an open field campground dispersed with trees. Neighbors will be present. The river access is right over the levee just a few minutes walk from your campsite. Fishing on the river is allowed but you need a license. We are near the woods and river so wildlife is present. Please make sure your food is put away nightly to discourage critters from coming into camp. The campground is just a short drive from a selection of hiking or biking trails. As well as other attractions like the Jet Boat Tours and Trees of Mystery. Located at the end of a glen cell service in this area can be spotty or non existent depending on the carrier. Wifi is available near main house but is limited to emails, messaging and mapping your next adventure. We welcome people of all seasons. Just ask that you are kind and respectful to each other. Well Behaved Pets Are Allowed. Children and Laughter are Always Welcome. We look forward to your visit. August and September there will be fisher persons in the campground. So be warned of early morning engine noise as they head out to the river for fishing. Electric cars that want to charge there is a $10 fee at time of service. Must make arrangements ahead of a time because 50 amp services are limited. Plus you need to bring your own adapters.

Electricity is available to use for an extra fee. We have separate men’s and women’s flush bathrooms, with coin-operated hot showers. We have firewood with kindling for sale on site, payable with cash or Venmo. Please take note of local fire bans, when in effect. Dog friendly, though be advised a leash is recommended as we are close to the road, but they can run leash-free down at the beach. We are located 30 minutes north of the town of Jenner, with Gualala 30 minutes to the north. Gualala has grocery stores, a post office, and some shops. Fort Ross Store is located one mile down the road, just before Timber Cove, and sells basic food necessities, drinks, sandwiches, ice and gas. Internet cell service can be spotty in our area, depending on your provider, so bring your own Starlink services if you have them. We also have access to the beach below, and offer beach camping as well. Take note that the road down to the beach is steep with uneven terrain. The weather can vary quickly here, so be sure to bring multiple layers of clothing and camp gear for various types of weather, and headlamps are useful for getting around the property at night! We have three campsites and a cabin on about an acre of land. If you'd like to hang out on the property, we offer a table and chairs with each campsite to lounge in while enjoying the fresh air and nature. There are also a couple of hammocks available. In addition, our SHARED amenities include an outdoor kitchen that includes a sink with hot water, 2 mini fridges,(full at times, extra coolers available) coffee maker, a two burner stove, a griddle, a toaster oven, blender, tea kettle, and a few pans, plates, bowls, cups, and utensils. Also here to SHARE is a Propane fire pit and BBQ area. The bathroom now includes a flush toilet, sink and shower. We are continuously making improvements. Fun Fact: Harbison Canyon was named after John Stewart Harbison - aka the King of the Bee Keepers. He arrived with over one hundred colonies of bees in 1874 and within 7 years he became the world's largest honey producer! Today there are just a few bees in the area.
