Beautiful view from the quiet camping spot. Dog friendly. Four miles to hwy. 1 and the beaches. Close to Open Space trails. 20 Minutes to historic little town of Half Moon Bay. 30 Minutes to the harbor. Fresh fish, fresh local vegetables for sale. Moderate temperatures at 700 feet, sunny skies cooled by the marine layer below. But watch the weather report for winter storms.Spectacular spot for dry camping. Drive to a large, flat, with views of forested redwood ridges. Very private and quiet. Close to Open Space trails and the beaches. Wi Fi calling and high speed internet via radio tower available near the cabin at the entrance to the Ranch. 45 minutes from the hustle of the Bay Area, this spot feels like you are in the middle of a great big wilderness.

Lobitos Creek Big Flat
The table with an umbrella and chairs was an unexpected and useful touch. At sunset, we discovered the hammock, which was a delightful. There was tons of wildlife, and the landscape is gorgeous! The site was well-sheltered from the wind. We used the campsite as a base for road cycling and hiking. We hope to come back again soon!

Perfectly cleared camp space on lawn surrounded by CA wildflowers. Patio lounge set provided, hammock on the hill was awesome. No toilet so be prepared. Fantastic spot, would recommend for anyone with dogs.

Great Private Spot - Kid Friendly
The entire family really loved our stay at Lobitos Creek! It's a bit of a drive to get to the spot but well worth it. The road was all paved which was great! I was sort of nervous taking our trailer up the hill but, it was no issue. Make sure to honk when you are about to take a turn on the windy path so on coming traffic can hear you. The road is narrow. We had to share the road a few times but everyone was patient. Rebecca was very nice and friendly. We missed the initial turn and she came out to greet us and have us turn around. She was very friendly! She came out to say hi and see our setup once during our trip. I'd highly recommend this spot and hope to return sometime!

Great for smaller Scouts overnight
Rebecca's campsite made a great Spring tent campsite for my son's Boy Scout troop. Rebecca was very accommodating when our numbers changed. My husband and son reported that the area was very pretty and green and they appreciated the chairs and picnic table in the middle of the camp. It's a pretty basic site with no potable water or toilet facilities, but since that was made clear in advance there were no issues with preparing for it.

Beautiful springtime camping
Five of us used the site for a Scouting overnight after mountain bike riding in Santa Cruz. There was easily room for a dozen or more campers, so we enjoyed being able to spread out. We arrived after 5 pm, as the sun gave way to the coastal fog, and enjoyed the pleasant temperatures until it was dark enough to call it a night. The campsite was a beautiful area of low greenery dotted with wildflowers. The table and wooden garden chairs were a pleasant surprise that made stovetop cooking and cleanup much easier. There were wild turkeys, swifts and swallows, and other animals that kept their distance but made the experience very special.

Lovely peaceful stay
Such a lovely relaxing stay! The campsite is clean, flat, and private! Gorgeous views. Only thing if you have dogs, there's tons of ticks so be sure to be current on tick control before staying here.
