Site 3 Big picnic table.
Nice and simple accomodations. Quiet and peaceful with limited amount of other campers around us!

This was a perfect spot for a quick overnight stop in my car. Very quiet and well-maintained. They had sites with a stove and picnic tables so I would definitely consider coming back for a longer stay with more people.

Site 1 Glamper Special
The scenery on the way in was very beautiful and we were the only ones at the site, so it was quiet. They had a porta potty that was clean and well-maintained. Site 1 had the largest area of level ground, so I'd recommend that if you're tent camping. The only weird thing was that every site had a wood stove to make a fire in except for Site 1. It was no problem; we just used Site 2's since no one was there.

Convenient and safe spot
Great spot with wildlife and dark sides at night. Had a nice bonfire in the supplied fire pit:

Out in the country
This is chaparral at 1600 feet. There is no cell phone service. It is very quiet and isolated. Consider a wide dirt road going down into a narrow, steep sided arroyo with a non functioning windmill and mobile home at the bottom. In the "median strip" sit 4 close campsites (do bring leveling blocks), 4 large picnic tables (2 newish aluminum, 2 partially rotted wood), assorted, rusted BBQ grills, wood stoves and a small burn barrel and one very clean Porta San. This was 8.5 miles off US 101 on a good condition country road; the nearest "town" (gas, convenience store) a few miles further on 101. We stayed in site 3, in our truck camper, for four days, two folks stayed in site 1 for one day. We never saw our hosts but we heard their dogs. Nowhere to go, not much to see.

Site 1 Glamper Special
This was my first overnight camping experience with HipCamp, but it’s far from my first camping trip. The location was well maintained, the porta potty was clean, and the area was beautiful. This was nicer than most of the state maintained campgrounds I’ve been to in the past. Just don’t plan to get your tent stakes in easily! The lot is gravel, but there are less packed areas where I was able to get the spikes in.
Good spot, flexible owners… I would recommend to family and friends.
