This campsite is a natural setting in the corner of our lower pasture. It features several oaks and lots of room. It is an extremely private spot free from other campers or busy traffic. This site now includes a picnic table on a leveled area, a firepit and a toilet . Water is available if you wish to hike a bit up a hill. You can enjoy our beautiful evening skies, sunrises and starlit nights. If you are looking for a peaceful, poison oak free, quiet hideaway, this is your place. Trails are available for walks and taking in the views of the valley below. Since this site is tucked away in our pasture we recommend that campers arrive before dark. We are located near Lake San Antonio, Lake Nacimiento, San Antonio Mission, San Miguel Mission, Fort Hunter Liggett, and the Nacitone Museum. There is local wine tasting and we are 45 minutes away from wine tasting in Paso Robles. Many campers find this to be an ideal meeting place for family and friends coming from the north and south.

We had an amazing night at this wonderful site! It was super private and the views were amazing! We even got some fresh eggs and they made for a wonderful breakfast!!! I definitely recommend this site in the hikes in the area. Would definitely come back if we’re in the area.

Amazing Camping Spot

Neil's place was great for camping! Very private, and lots of room for our dogs to run around. We booked it very last minute (a couple of hours before we arrived) and they still managed to have wood out for us by the time we got there. We enjoyed the big trees, which offered lots of shade. The campsite and the nearby outhouse were very neat and clean. Water was provided to douse fires, which was appreciated. The signage leading to the campsite as well as the instructions were very clear. There were a couple of rattlers around the camp (which Neil did leave a note about!), so be careful if your dogs like to poke their snouts in things like mine do!

South 40 Rocks--Site 1

Beautiful area

It is a beautiful, shaded and private camp site in a beautiful area with lake San Antonio close by, where we went paddle boarding (bring your own) and swimming. It was fun that we could make a fire at night and the neighbors were so far that our dog could stay off leash the whole stay. Would love to come back. Bring groceries because the closest store is a 30 minute drive!
